Kakashi isn't some academy student. The Chidori was created in an attempt to create a jutsu similar to that of a potentially Rasengan infused with Raiton elemental ninjutsu however, the amount of shape manipulation Kakashi could make, was only sufficient for making Chidori. And he couldn't combine his elemental chakra with Rasengan.

With that being said, Chidori lacks the scope of shape manipulation of the Rasengan however, it has a sufficient level of it to be ranked as an A ranked ninjutsu.

Elemental chakra plus shape chakra creates a jutsu. A jutsu isn't just elemental chakra without shape manipulation. The amount of chakra a shinobi can turn into an element determines how much of that nature will be used in the jutsu however, the amount of shape manipulation determines the scope, range, and power of the jutsu.

However, the amount of people who can use both at the same exact time is limited, however, that doesn't mean elemental jutsu lack shape manipulation in the majority.lol It just means it comes in at a later point. Kakashi alters his chakra into an eletrical nature, then he uses shape manipulation to alter it into an eletrical discharge, this determines the power and range.

I'm assuming it has a lot of shape manipulation (not to the degree of Rasengan) but enough to put it on par with the regular Rasengan (which takes form manipulation to the highest level; so far that it can counter a full blown chidori).

All elemental ninjutsu has shape manipulation however, the amount of it helps determine the rank of a jutsu.

C rank ninjutsu has the lowest level of shape manipulation.

B rank ninjutsu has a medium level of shape manipulation.

A rank ninjutsu has a high level of shape manipulation.

S rank ninjutsu has a supreme level of shape manipulation.

I just realized that shinobi are smart as fuck, I don't think if I was learning this shit in school I could get it, it's crazy shit. Anyback, back ON topic.

What exactly is so hard to understand that CHIDORI is channeled through the blade to create the chidori spear? While on the other hand, KB uses just CHAKRA, NOT A FUCKING NINJUTSU and channels it through the blade. Just like the fucking SAMURAIS and just like ASUMA WHEN HE EXPLAINED IT TO NARUTO, it's the same shit.

Going based off of your logic, Asuma channels a wind jutsu through his chakra blades, and shikamaru channeled his shadow possession through the fucking chakra blades against hidan and kakuzu? Nothing but fail in a fucking pocket.

I mean it's like this, say if I were to throw a pie at you with the pan and all. Now if I were to toss the pie with the pan it'd be considered a jutsu, now if I take the pie away and just toss the PAN at you (the pan being apart of the pie to hold it) that's just ONE component, that component being chakra. It's not the same. That might've been a bad example, but anyone with half a lobe of brain could understand it.
