Well if we want to go into semantics, Catholic Dogma states that those who are "good" and "moral" but do not believe in the "One True God" go to purgatory, not hell. Or atleast thats what people at ~~Child Molesting~~ Catholic school taught us.

I never understood why the theological differences were percieved as so "srs" the only real difference that comes to mind is purgatory and the Ascension of Mary, oh and the saints and ...yeah we're pretty crazy.

Well...

Christians don't believe int eh saints, or pray to Mary. That IS srs if you think of the context. Some Christians see that as idol worship since they're praying and place faith in an entity they don't believe exists.

They use priest as a means to gain forgiveness. Depending on which 'branch', Christians believe there is only one way to God, which is through Christ.

That's the only major one's I've seen, and I can't be arsed to go into theological detail.

But the thing is, thats the theological equivalent of red tape. In the end the final source is still "God" and "Christ" is still at the core of Catholicism. The praying to mary bit is a tad fucked up I admit, i never really got that.

Either way, i don't intend to argue this. all i know is that the "authorities" of Catholicism as a whole have accepted other denominations to be part of the overall Christian Message, for other faiths to turn their back on them and denounce the historical "root" of their faith, seems narrowminded at best.

@ Ero- Oh yeah, I don't really give a shit either. I more see as praying through Mary as a retarded practice because it's useless. They don't see it as praying to anything. Might as well be talking to a wall. I don't agree with certain Catholic practices because I see no point in them. I find their disagreements lulzy.

Kinda like Catholic/Jewish fights. Those are so awesome
