I was just surfin the web and alot of people seem to think that narutos sexist.

Then thought about it and noticed that the 4 main girls of the show,if u say em in order of most important to leasr important theres an acronym.

It's definitely possible. Kishimoto's only powerful character, that is a woman, is the Mizukage and almost every female character gets nearly no development. They are little more than damsels.

Sexist in both ways:

-does it objectify women for men's pleasure? Yes, look at Tsunade, Hinata, and basically all the females. Averted by Tsunade being actually older, Sakura having her forehead, etc.

-does it enpower women? Yes and no. Alot of flak comes from the girls being of no use in combat (which is substantially stupid, considering the battles they lost only illustrate plot demands). Sakura and Hinata subverts this hard, Tenten might, Ino is undefinable.

Despite losses, these women are generally willing to go through combat, and possess empowered abilities (Sakura has her honed strenght, Hinata's innate Byakugan and Gentle Fist, Tenten is an armsmaster, again Ino...)

Does the series put women into subservient roles? Hell no. Sakura is actively involved in shaping the events and basically prompts Naruto to go after Sasquatch. Tsunade is/was in charge of Konoha as a woman, hell, her assistant is a woman. The willage elders include women, one of whom is responsible for a good deal of the conflict. Even the shrinking violet that is Hinata is glorified somewhat for interceding on Pain's plans.

These are not damsels in distress, neither are they weak or fragile (hell, Neji was more emotionally fragile than Hinata as she herself points it out to him at the exams). Neither are they superficial (Ino and Tenten get little characterisation, the former crying over the decision to Shoot the Dog - Sasuke is genuine, not something that is as shallow).

For the part where Tsunade kicked Oro's ass, Jiraiya was pretty much not doing anything. He was pretty much out from being drugged. She was effectively fighting Oro alone.
