The newer translation makes more sense about Kisame's gambit, but still, if it was a Zetsu clone, shouldn't Zetsu tell Madara right away what happened? It sounds silly considering last chapter.

I think I see now what happened. Kishi fucked up or more likely his editors that watch over his work think he fucked up. So for the sake of having more extra fights and not too much emphasis on emo sausage fest we have kisame suddenly back again for round 2 thanks to plot no jutsu. Add on top of that Zetsu is able now to mimic people perfectly with ease. It would appear kishi needs to take some writing advice from some of us who do predictions cause his writing in this case is starting to suck. As for orochi kabuto, he might as well be nicknamed "whybother" cause no one in the end is gonna give two shits about him so when sasuke probably encounters him his first reaction is gonna be, "Why I should I even bother to kill you when you are just a waste of my time?". I had hoped this chapter would get better but once again the kish resorts to plot no jutsu when he can find anything decent to write.

Law&Order

The way I am reading it, it appears that Kisame has pulled off the Trojan horse of Ninja Land and Zetsu is going to meet up with him. This is as planned, which means Madara wouldn't need to be updated.

@ cruiser during the Gaara arc Zetsu made perfect clones of the four knuckle heads including Gai. I see no plot holes just early assumptions of Kisame's death.

wasn't that some trap that mirrored the people who triggered it, i dont think zetsu had anything to do with it, he was just being a recon as usual, but i could be wrong

or you referring to when they used other peoples bodies to mimic their own? when they faught at " 30% " or whatever it was. They were using Sasori's underlings, but could have been anyones underlings but i dno too many if's...

The spoiler sounds stupid when you take onemanga's translation into account "worried about kisame"
but taking MS translation it makes sense because madara said go check on kisame and without the worried part,which might mean he should just check his progress with whatever he is up to now,we have to consider this is translation if somethings do not make sense its not always the writer's fault,there are words and expressions in some language that aren't in others.
eg if you translate "A chip of the old block" to Spanish it doesn't make any sense whatsoever in spanish.

if kisame is alive it runs the manga.. there was no hint that he didnt die besides him talking after he got decapitated but it would explain alot by him being alive.. and if im not mistaken zetsu has been at pretty much every important fight since naruto sasuke round 1. so it wouldnt surprise me too much if kisame was like shit im gonna lose take my place while i retreat..

there WILL be a reason for kisame being alive

I am 100% sure that he wont just go into another fight and die without doing something relevent to the plot

madara said himself that hes sorry to have kept his identity to kisame, kisame and madara has had history, connection whatever

for madara to send zetsu to protect kisame is probably the same reason why he sends zetsu to protect sasuke
they are both useful to madara

If Madara wants Sasuke to sync with the Gedou Mazou, he must summon it, but since the Gedou Mazou was first linked to Pain, the only way that panel doesn't drop in a plot hole if it's everyone that used Gedou Mazou became linked to it, therefore able to summon it. But that's my opinion, I might be wrong.

Hidan and Kakuzu want to talk with you about "second battle with plot relevancy".

And Danzou had a connection to the Kyuubi. See how that ended up.

Kisame is definitively useful to Madara and to the plot, don't get me wrong, he has potential, but I don't know if that's enough to save him from Kishimoto's recent streak of trolls.

thats a very smart analysis cuz now to think about it how many people did madara actually care about and try to keep alive? i jus want to know what happened to juugo and suigetsu they literally vanished from the storyline is madara gonna save them too?

^No. Odds are, Karin will attempt to vouch for them not being executed, assuming that she decides to go with the people that saved her life instead of the one that tried to end it, which by all accounts she seems likely to do.

no it has been mentioned by kishi that suigetsu juugo and karin are fodders
they were never supposed to serve a purpose past the fight with itachi

plus not 1 of them are akatsuki standard ninjas

yep because we thought GM was only linked to pain and the rinnegan,so meaning the justu too might not be an 'only pain thingy' after all,but we would see,hehe
