If we recall the third hokages fight with orochimaru, you see that he summoned the first and second hokage and when the fourths box appeared we saw the same fear in the third hokages eyes as we did madaras. With that said the first and second hokage are out of the picture leaving only 2 possible outcomes...

1) its either the fourth or rikudo

2)it was madaras real body and the one we see now is really obitos body but madaras spirit. To prove that, when kakashi saw madaras sharingan he freaked...and also why is it that tobi/obito/madara imposter has only 1 sharingan the proof is in the pudding its obitos body that madaras spirit is controlling.

Definitely think the fourth is plausible. Seeing what happens with this flashback we could also see why Madara was so shocked.
