Cool

If you have any information on the difficulty in Japanese schools then I would be interested to hear about it, and also the tests that you have to take to get into high school and college, what are they like?!?!?

P.S. Your profile says that you are a guy, but you said "her" in your last post when refering to yourself. Are you male or female?!?!

we do sumthing similar in tw (i'm twnese) wit d meeting thing...the worst is, we hav to stand in d sun XP and there's this whole flag part, and we hav to sing d national anthem

and also in tw, they don't change classes either, bt d uniform part is a bit different~
they hav d normal uniform, and if ur cold u can jus add a coat (any random Coat) not reli sure if u are allowd, bt they do it anyway~

Ha! Let me tell you, if givin the chance I would NEVER go to a japanese school.

Don't get me wrong, I love Japan, hell some have even refered to my loved as "Nipophilia", but the school system I find a tad bit "iffy".

Let me ask you something. Would you voluntarily clean a mess that you did not make? If you answer is anything other than yes you would not last long in the Japanese school system.

On top of the fact that they spend an hour or so cleaning the school, the importance of grades is much greater in Japan. Ever hear that Japan has one of the highest teen suicide rates? That is because of the immence pressure on the children.

A good chunk of Japanese children attend "Juku" or "Cram school" which, like the name implies, is an after school cram session. In some casses these "Cram schools" can go on until 11:00 P.M.

The problem is not only in the schools, growing up in Japan can be very hard. My aunt came to canada with her boy friend to get married but was ditched as soon as she came to Canada.

In Japan this is a very dishonoring series of events, so dishonoring that my aunt's father no longer has any contact with her at all.

The point of all this? :
Though growing up in Japan me look easy and fun, it is not. I'd much rather stick to my easy live.

well schools in japan are not that different from school's in Argentina.
We have a classroom and we dont ussually change it unless we have art classes or gym (duh), so you are stick with your classmates always. There are some schools who have so many kids that have like 1A or 1b, or even more.
The uniforms... only private schools have them, i hate mine is horrible!. Its ussually a shirt with a skirt for girls and pants for boys. Oh and almost always with horrible tie
In my country most of the kids that have parents with a normal income attend private school since most of them are not that expensive. Also because public schools have a very bad level of education, whereas public universities are the best ones this is different in the USA i think.
Its obvious that everebody wants to seat with their friends but when you bout 13 or 14 years old you dont need teachers telling you where to sit down.
Ans its the same here those who are more daring do dye thei hair, ussually red, or use long earings and necklaces, which are kind normal things but that are not allowed.
Anyways our schools are pretty much the same.
