Naruto: Nice try fox(, I watched Star Wars – I had to put this in, disregard it if you want)
Kushina: I’m not the nine-tails Naruto.
Naruto: Then how come you are here?
Kushina: Because I was just like you, the …
Nine-Tails: Enough talk! Grrr come here Naruto. You still have some chakra left.
Kushina: Enough old friend, don’t you remember the good ole times?
Kyuubi: Grrrr Don’t…
Naruto: What!? So you were the…
Kushina: Jinchuriki of the nine-tails. Exactly.
Naruto: But how, I thought…
Kushina (at Kyuubi): Could Naruto and I be alone? I would like to explain to him what happened
Kyuubi: Grrrr I’ll allow it. The brat has grown strong; I guess he deserves that before he dies!
Kushina: Are you sure it isn’t because I can still pull a few strings around here, or because you need the time to recover?
Kyuubi: Hahaha What can you do now? Remember how our relationship ended!
Kushina: You wanna check what I can do?
Kyuubi: Get along with your talk, so that I can free myself from him, like I freed myself from you.
Kushina: You freed yourself? @ Naruto: Let’s go and talk.

Naruto and Kushina alone:
Kushina: Finally alone. I need to tell you about how my life ended.
Naruto: Aren’t there more pressing matters? Shouldn’t I use this time to heal?
Kushina: No this is important. It is every parent’s desire for their children to learn from their mistakes, not the children’s, as is mine.
Kushina: This story starts soon after your father became Hokage

Somewhere outside of the village we see Minato, behind him we see the Hokage Mountain. The finishing touches are being given to his face.
Minato (in thought): Where is he? He has been pressing for a meeting for a while and now he is late. I hope this isn’t just about Kushina.
We see a figure slowly approaching. After 1-2 panels we realize that it is Danzo.
Minato: So you are here, finally.
Danzo: Sorry Minato-san, I had some important issues to attend to.
Minato: I remind you that I am the Hokage. You asked for a private meeting with me, which I believe should be more important than any other issues you had to attend to. We all know what your relationship with the last Hokage was, you should be grateful that I agreed to meet you so at least dignify me with Hokage-sama or sir.
Danzo: Sorry, Hokage-sama.
Minato: Now what is it you wanted to talk to me about? Please let it not be…
Danzo: About Kushina, sir.
Minato: I thought I was clear that it is not an issue.
Danzo: But, Hokage-sama, the elders, and I disagree. We feel that having a foreign jinchuriki, especially an unstable on like the Kyuubi, in Konoha is a security issue.
Minato: There is no need to worry. I trust my wife.
Danzo: Regardless, we should be careful. She might be a planted spy, she wouldn’t be the first.
Minato: You have no need to know this, but I think it will settle your nerves. Kushina is pregnant, we are going to have a baby. That should be proof enough of her loyalty.
Danzo: But…
Minato: No buts. If you have no other issues, this meeting is over.
Minato waits for a few second and then body-flickers away.
Danzo (to himself): Damn, I knew he would react like this. He is blinded by love. I’ll have to resolve this myself.
A shadowy figure appears lurking behind a tree.
SF: Are you sure you don’t require assistance?
Danzo: Who are you? What do you want? Show yourself!
The SF starts slowly walking forward. Danzo seems to recognize him, and seems shocked at who he sees.
Danzo: No! You’re dead. It can’t be. Uchiha Madara!


I am not a fan of Kushina being a previous jink. But I had this idea so I wanted to write it. I decided to make it into 2 chapters (so that Kyuubi vs. Naruto action is in chapter 500). I'll write 499 tomorrow (probably). I'm pretty tired right now so I don't feel like it. Also the prediction probably isn't that good either (I couldn't even bother to proof read), but I hope at least somebody will enjoy it

How this for a theory, after she gave birth to naruto,she couldn't stand leaving minato alone fighting with the kyuubi so she went to join him and when minato wanted to seal the kyuubi she used a technique on the kyuubi so he couldn't move, maybe a tech that makes the kyuubi attached to herself.
I dunno i just don't see how she could have been the previous 9T jink,it won't fit nicely.

Hmmm...Kushina being a jink, not sure bout that one. but the village coulda had a rule not to mention that just like that weren't allowed to tell Naruto he was the jink and Minato was his father. My thing is the other half of the fox chakra is where? is it in a scroll somewhere waiting for naruto to control the beast or is it in his Mother who is in hiding and left an imprint inside the kyuubi to guide naruto through controlling him? Maybe it is with Naruto inside the death god jutsu. dunno. but i think we might find out with the Kushina flashback issue that's coming next week.

Kushina: Wow... you look so much like your father.
Naruto: Wha - .. father?
Kushina: Ah. Today surely is a good day - freedom and I get to finally see you. (reaches out and hugs Naruto.) I can't tell you how long I've wanted to do this.
Naruto, in shock: I... who... who are you? (Pushes Kushina away.)
Kushina: Heh. I suppose it'd be too much to ask that you recognize me never have known me. Naruto, I'm your -
Kyuubi's claw strikes down upon both Kushina and Naruto. Kushina avoids saving both of them.
Kyuubi: YOU!!! The fourths bitch - how'd you get out!
Kushina: You are still really annoying little fox; couldn't you just give me a moment with my son?
Naruto, in head - "son?"
Kyuubi: ROOAAARRR!!
Kushina, grinning: Didn't think so.
Naruto: You're my mom?!
Kushina: A moment, darling. Not how I planned to tell you, but I'll explain in a moment. MASS WATER CLONE JUTSU!
A group of 20 Kushina's appear and launch in multiple direction to engage the fox.
Kushina: OK - that gives us some time. Heart to hearts are tough mid battle, but, son, try to take a page out of your father's book.
Naruto: ??
Kushina, leaping: Try to keep up!

Outside, Naruto is in 3-tailed mode. Bee has transformed into 3 tailed as well and is holding/wrestling Naruto.

Bee: Yo! Hurry it up, Wooden-Guy! There's not time to waste, you gotta fly!
Yamato: Keep him busy and quit the rhyming! I'm nearly ready.
Wooden pillars rise around the two jinchuuriki.
Yamato: Ready! Get out of there!
Bee jumps aside.
Yamato: Down boy!
The pillars fly in and pin Naruto.

Inside.
Kushina, clone: Water Needles!
The attack blinds they Kyuubi, who grows increasingly angry and attacks wildly.
Kushina: Such a mindless beast. If he ever realized that he had a brain, he'd be far more dangerous.
She and Naruto have taken a back seat at the walls as the Kushina clones distract the Kyuubi.
Naruto: I don't get it - you were the kyuubi's host?
Kushina: Yeah. Not exactly by choice, but it had it's benefits. (flashback panels) A long time ago, the Konoha lost control of the Kyuubi and it was loose in my land. The best we did was no good and our land was nearly obliterated. Konoha responded with an elite team to capture and seal the Kyuubi. Unfortunately their host was killed in the battle to capture and the Kyuubi proved too unstable to transport. The leader of the group made the decision to choose a new host of the best candidate available to him - me - using an untested sealing technique. The group wasn't happy, but then your father was always one to do what was necessary rather than what was popular. Konoha was furious, but Minato claimed it was best for both countries. The Fire Nation took on the Land of Waterpool's to repair the damage, and Minato took me as his wife to ensure my loyalty to Konoha. Of course, that was easy - he was such a dreamboat!
Naruto: Ew... mom...
Kushina: Hey! You're parents are allowed a love life!
Naruto: Fine, but why are you here? How are you here? When the kyuubi seal was broken, you should have died.
Kushina: Ah, but the seal wasn't broken.
Naruto: ??
Kushina: Sixteen years ago, not long after your birth, I took a walk alone and the kyuubi's power surfaced in my like I had never felt. Something awoke him after being asleep within me. The power, so long asleep, was too much. He didn't break out - I was dragged in. I don't know what it was that set it off, but I could have sworn I felt an outside force... like eyes, watching me.
Naruto: !!
Flash back to scene of Sasuke suppressing the kyuubi within Naruto.

Kushina: ... Heh... well. Looks like you have some interesting challenges ahead of you then. All the better that we hurry up and get you control of the beast.
Naruto: But that still doesn't explain why you are here.
Kushina: I'm here because of you. When you tried to pull the kyuubi's chakra, you tapped into the source of his power where I was stored. I just tracked my way back through you.
Naruto: Stored?
Kushina: Son, he's a chakra beast - what do you suspect he eats?
Naruto: !! So those were?

Kushina: Souls pulled in with our chakra. Ninja of Konoha and the land of Waterpools and across the ninja realm. But you can put an end to that today by gaining full control. I think I have some ideas to help.
Kyuubi crushed the final clone: THERE YOU ARE!!
The Kyuubi gathers up chakra and launches another chakra ball attack.
Kushina: Shit!
Naruto clones appear, grab Kushina and jump aside, while another launches a rasenshurkin that obliterates the Kyuubi's attack.
Kushina, in head: What? That's...!
Naruto: Good - I'm all ears. But, mom... you need to keep up.
Kushina: Heh - you brat!

End.

And of course, next time they put her plan in motion, hits a cliffhanger and in chapter 500, Naruto wins. That's the big news for chapter 500.

Peoples' theory of why she would be in Naruto. There are really three of them that people are supporting.

1. She was the Kyuubi host before Naruto...
a. She lost control when trying to gain all the power of the Nine Tails
b. Madara had some hand in how the Nine Tails broke free and killed her.

2. That she helped Minato seal the Kyuubi in Naruto and has now shown herself much to the same effect that Minato showed himself if the seal had released up to eight tails.

3. That some how she was consumed by the Nine Tails and she seams to be the only soul within the beast that doesn't hold resentment to it or to Naruto.
