What's been going through my head involves flashbacks/stories/dreams/nightmares involving his past. There are a few twists involving his power, though, if I can work them into the story without making him obscenely overpowered.

alright sounds good, although i am no fan of flashbacks personally.

setting: you said it's like Codex. is it set at a Roman time? also, the 3 other characters, also mages or do you plan on a group consiting of different classes?

Meh. If/when I do write it and it turns out to be a success I might do a full prequel involving the mage.

I still haven't fleshed out the details. I might get bored enough in class to start making notes, I dunno. I'll probably have different cultural influences about, though.

Setting wise, I might take a page from Fred Saberhagan's "Book of Swords" series and put it in the future/past. Might also take place on Earth, only a different Earth (alternate dimension style).

Different classes. A swordsman with a slave, slave will have some interesting twists to her. Also an assassin with a few unique weapons and fighting styles.

The idea in my head is something I wrote before. A few years ago, I wrote a fanfic for Animax though. The prize is some money and having your fan fic animated by a Japanese anime studio. That year was Studio Pierrot turn. I lost.

But I'm trying to improve my story. If I want to milk that story to be rich, then I must focus on a world, like star wars or forgotten realms where stories can be told many times. My new main character is a mercenary/bounty hunter for hire, a big man wielding a giant chainsaw blade. ( Its a chainsaw that you wield like a sword) My new story about him is he was given a job to go to a war torn province to bring out a princess who was trap there.

I never got a 404 error. I only got a message similar to "search request not available on this server" which made me believe the server was shut down. main site didn't work either until a few hours later.

It wasn't a 404 code, it was a 403 code, which means that you don't have permission to view a site, and if they were doing big changes to the site then it makes sense that you were not allowed on here, as the URL was being changed and all sorts.

Yup, the "no permission" was included in the message too. But this was ridiculous. They should've allowed access through a temporary host in the meantime. If that's not possible, they should've announced in cpas on the the main page/manga section.

It was announced on NC, NC and the forums are run by different people, there was a lack of communication there so that's why no on on the forum knew.

@ Kael03: nice ideas. Do I detect Chinese classic elements on the furies? A question: do characters normally use one fury or more? I ask because stories with a little number of elements (like your idea and Naruto), the norm is only one element, and more than that is just for the really important characters. Also your system seems to already cater a style per fury.

The MOD had the reputation of attracting "the best of the best" — until one of the most talented members called Ed feuded with Master of Doomer Tony and got 'tossed out of the clubhouse'. Grodd's friends formed a rival group, the Lord of Deception.
