That is why I personally don't like Capt. America. Batman can be kind of a vigilante, and defies authority. I mean Capt. America basically is a gouvernment weapon against other supervillains. I think he was created to fight against the Nazis in WWII.

And yes sure, Dirty Harry or The Punisher have no superpowers like the Captain, but the idea of a vigilante dishing out justice with a .44 Magnum is just more fucking awesome than a guy in a blue/white/red jumpsuit and throwing his shield about and subconciously screaming "Die enemies of America!". Well, I think it was kind of a propaganda comic wasn't it? Just like the Disney cartoons in this time.

Edit: Spiderman is a fucking pussy, I totally agree.

Yeah, I thought the "A New Day" arc was shit. The guy that was behind that arc was openly against Peter and M.J.'s marriage since the very beginning and the whole retcon arc was a shot to a lot of the fans. For fucks sake, they undid Harry and Norman Oswald's deaths.

From what I understand, Captain America was asked to round up other superheroes and villains for some sort of registration act. He refused, which is very untool like. And, in a further display of manly heroism and untoolishness, went on to lead a rebellion against that shit.

His reason was simply because he fights for what he believes to be right and just, regardless of what other people think. Any nationalismish messages or symbolism aside, that is manly as fuck. It isn't government or law or popular opinion that guides him. It's his own sense of fucking justice. Awesome.

Plus, he's beastly as fuck at unarmed combat. And his fighting style is just a mix of shit like Judo and Boxing and shit like that. No gay kung fu or ninjitsu shit or anything.

Captain America is a goddamn badass.

Never meant to imply that he was a wuss or anything. I still don't like that kind if superhero. Another example for "heros" I like is Roschach from Watchmen. No superpowers, just badass and ruthless. And Wolverine is kind of badass too, but I don't know if mutation and adamatium is a superpower (but the yellow costume in the comics/cartoons is gay as fuck). But he could probably kick the Captains ass.

His mutation is a superpower (seriously, the only way to kill him is to cut off his head and move it away from his body). The adamantium is a permanent add-on that became secondary with his healing factor.

I'll agree with this. I did like the cheap shot they gave this in the first movie when Cyclops asked Wolverine if he preferred yellow spandex.

DCU is alright. Nothing ground breaking. Definitely needs a lot of work still. The PvM is a pretty standard rinse repeat system. The Game itself is incredibly glitchy. Wish their forum had some staff activity discussing these issues or perhaps even a courtesy official mention of the multi-hour server crash.

However every MMO I have been part of the debut has suffered similar issues. So I am willing to give it a fighting chance for now. Especially since the first month is free(probably because those very issues mentioned above).

I just wish for once developers of these type games would ignore the fans cries for an early release, and invest in more dev time. You would figure with so many rough start ups someone would get the clue.

The real fun so far for me is the PvP. Its satisfying tanking multiple foes. I personally like the fact that its Skill>Level. Many people are falling just because they are lvl 30 they think they can slay anyone.


I haven't checked the servers in about an hour. Hopefully they are online again. Once its back up, Im back in.

I don't hate Spider-man. I hate the "Brand New Day" retcon arc that got rid of the marriage between Peter and Mary Jane and brought back Norman and Harry, with Harry's whereabouts since his death being he was in Europe. All just to keep Aunt May alive so she can marry Jameson Sr. (What the fuck was THAT?) The only good side to the arc was it allowed for Peter to keep his Spiderman identity a secret following the Mutant Registration Act and Civil War.

Yeah, I didn't like what Brand New Day did either. I liked the concept of it, in that they were getting rid of all the bullshit that constant Marvel retconning brings to every franchise. But they fucked it up completely.
