That didn't effect his strength & speed which is what really matters. Having extra chakra for Kisame is meaningless since his chakra capacity is based on his opponent.

But that affected his chakra and the amount of jutsus he could use. Not to mention that Kisame clone was just to stall Team Gai and not kill them. He was not fighting seriously otherwise at least two people would have died that day. Not to mention his "FISH-FACE" transformation, which increased his abilities - mainly speed among other things - exponentially.

Dude seriously Kisame used more jutsu when he fought Guy when compared to Kirabi. The lack of chakra didn't actually effect his performance. During his fight with Kirabi Kisame was boosted by Kirabis chakra. As for his giant water orb thing Guy was able to brake apart Kisame's Ocean the Orb would be no different. Once out of water Kisame would get his shit rocked just like before since he isn't able to keep up with Guys speed. His little Fish transformation is really only effective in water.

You do agree that Kisame was not fighting to kill, don't you ? Secondly, what would Team Gai have done if Kisame chose to transform in the middle of that lake and go underwater, from where at least Neji, Tenten and Lee would be "drowning ducks" for him. After all, it doesn't take him a shitload of chakra to create a water body...

Against Guy Kisame has no reason not to kill him. Against Kirabi Kisame wasn't fighting to kill. Guy would have done exactly what he did against Kisame the first time. Powerup & brake apart the water & knock Kisame's arse right out of it while beating the shit out of Kisame with ungodly taijutsu.

PS: What in your mind makes you think that Kisame didn't fight team Guy with intent to kill? Seriously had it not been for Neji Tenten & Lee would have died. Had Guy not open 6 gates he would have died. Your logic on this is extremely delusional.

A great way to stall a team would be to kill them - don't you think?

Gai's talent is bodily destruction... you can have all the chakra you want, but if he snaps your legs or neck - you done, son. Gai or Rock also have advantages against Kisame that others don't. Neither of them use large amounts of chakra so Samehada's advantage doesn't mean much in the fight. Don't underestimate Gai in a third fight. The only thing Kisame will have as an advantage is the ability to pull out one of his huge techs like the water dome.

We can only hope that Kishi hasn't forgotten Gai was brought along and hope that he gives him a fair shake and it doesn't turn into a "I is more powerful now! Die ape!" and scene.

honestly guy and rock lee are the perfect opponents for kisame because their fighting styles dont rely on chakra at all. nuff said

I don't know if Kisame would win against Gai due to the fact that Gai doesn't really use chakra. He uses straight Taijutsu. If Samehada can't get any chakra from Gai, then Kisame will lose. On top of Kisame not getting any chakra from Gai to live up to his "bijuu without a tail" name, Gai has incredible speed and power with the gates. This is an already-decided match.
