Depends on who you talk to, I grew up in the outback so slang is a big part of my vocab, most of us don't use it when dealing with yanks or who ever because you end up spending more time explaining what you just said.

I think Nerox was pointing out, perhaps harshly (it is debatable), your ignorance in not getting a simple joke based on well known stereotypes and some well known history. That AND your tendency to fill threads with quick little back-and-forths that are pointless and tedious.

No they weren't you fucking tool bag, Australia was founded by the British, many other European countries landed here first but none saw promise in the land because they always pulled up at a desert or on the north coast of WA where it's all red dirt, the poms landed saw potential sailed down a bit further and liked what they saw, returned home told the folks in charge and they decided to send convicts here due to over crowding in British prisons, people where sent here for things as petty as stealing a loaf of bread.....

Evenutally with the discovery of gold in the goldfields, people migrated out here to try their luck. This is when the other Europeans settled....

Well I didn't at first. I didn't know those "well known" stereotypes and history. But now I do. And how do I fill threads with "quick little back-and-forths"? Their replies were shorter then mine! And I was asking questions. Questions don't have to be long, you know.
