Edo Tensei revival as a way to bring back characters is much easier to justify and much less "BS" than any other method. From what I read of the spoilers (assuming they are correctly translated), it seems Kabuto used the DNA from Manda to create a duplicate of Manda. The only difference being kabuto used certain methods to enhance manda's skills/abilities. I would bet on something like growth hormones and steroids like some athletes use to get strong. He may have altered the DNA a little to enhance him genetically. That's just my take on it.

I would also imagine he had a way to speed up the growth process imemsely so that this new Manda grew the equivalent of decades in a single year or so.

The only real question I would like answered, is how kabuto made this Manda obey his orders, when the last manda wouldn't do jack shit for Orochimaru. Perhaps a little mind control, or genetically altered him to be more obedient.

On a totally unrelated & rather pointless topic. What ever happened to the badarse Fuma clan? Why weren't they explored further after getting hyped by Kishi? I mean comeon Kishi add them into the whole BS Rikkudo bloodline crap to give Oro some relevance.

Fuma clan had one D-Rank tech that every effin Genin knows, then had one member who Jiraiya fought once then got owned and made into a Pain path. Everything else about them was pure filler.

I think, one of Nagato's parents was Fuuma. If not, then it was all a fake by Kishi to keep him unknown.

You should really reread the manga.

ANIMAL PATH was the only canon Fuuma clansmen shown in the entirety of the manga. Amegakure citizens thought that Pain/Nagato was Fuuma because he used the Animal Path to deal with Amegakure affairs (like he used Deva Path for Akatsuki affairs.
