That was pretty damn good. It was a little predictable, but I wouldn't mind if someone picked this up and made a manga series out of it. The "Prince of Tennis" for baseball lovers.

The predictability of it was predictable (sorry for lame pun), since one-shots' length and nature don't leave them to more complicate plot lines.

But even so, Bench already has 3 things better than Naruto: clear shout outs, the impossibility (if continued) of the main character hunting down some member that went rogue (since Kishi already done that) and (again, if continued) the impossibility of having super haxxes... since it's baseball :P

Knowing Kishi though, he'll find a way to hax it out. Watch the fat kid be a descendant from chouji's clan that can use body manipulation jutsu to make his arms 10 times bigger, and the pitcher can use shadow manipulation to change the course of the ball. LOL, joking.

I'll agree with you off the bat and simply won't read it.... after all we're talking about 'baseball'. Wow. That's just sad. It's not some "NINJA ART: BASEBALL HAX!" It's the guy throwing three balls. Christ.

Anyway, I liked it decently. Some characters seemed a little too similar to characters from Naruto, and all the others had literally no importance. The characterization was the only problem in this, for a one-shot, anyway. Pretty good, I'll say. The only thing I find funnier than the "Darth Vader" and "Astro Boy" references is the fact that some American Kid was either named or nicknamed Darth Vader.

Yeah. It was actually pretty decent. Worth reading WAY more than any current Naruto chapter.

The tall pitcher dude with weird hair was pretty manly. First he's all fucking around and everyone is like "lol that dude is a scrub." Then you find out that he's actually an "ace" that got fucked up. Then he's all like "Hey fuckers, I challenge you! Either accept or I'll just break your arms." Pretty manly. Then some weird looking chick is like "Oh shit! He has been training to use his left arm what a badass goddamn" Then he's all like "Fuck it, all out manly sacrifice throw time" and the weird looking chick is all shedding manly tears after seeing his indomitable spirit and shit. Then the dude is like "Believe in yourself who believes in me who believes in you!" And the fat kid is like "HOORRAHHH"

Pretty awesome, considering it is boring ass baseball and shit. Anyone who likes naruto ~~and thought this sucked~~ has no taste and is unmanly.

LMAO, yes those noses pissed me off through the whole OS. But I thought it was awesome, I really did... inspired me to actually get back into writing my own manga and developing my long lost drawing skills.
