Considering the form the golem takes consists of dirt and ash, any and all damage done to it is regenerated. You have to remove the soul of the golem to put it down for good.

The only option is to seal the souls away. Any damage done to the bodies just regenerate. The legs on the hokages were destroyed completely and they regenerated from nothing.

Indeed there are better ways. Pulling out the soul, sealing it inside a scroll, warping the whole thing away etc etc. But you can't physically kill that thing. It's just a soul with a projection of its former self wrapped around it. Destroying a soul with physical ninjutsu is impossible.

u cant say they were regenerated from nothing ness cause the head was blown a way so the rest of the body put cells together to regenerate the head of the first and second kages. the jutsu is similar to dbz's cell. he was destroyed time and time again but as long as a single cell wa left alive he could regenerate.

you shouldnt bring dbz into a discussion about naruto, because dbz is just a mess and wont prove anything. your just basically fighting an indestructable body with a soul attached to it. the soul seems to be the key. Now im sure that each village has its own set of sealing techs and tsuchi does seem to be older, so i would thinkher is more experienced and should know something.

dud most of the stuff from naruto is related to dbz in some way or form and it proves a point plan and simple. if u destroy the golems body completly every piece and u leave nothing left how can u expect it to regenerate after something like that.

Dude, in that link they HAD NO LEGS and they regenerated. You're fighting the soul itself with a golem made of ash and dirt surrounding the living sacrifice. Any damage done to the golem is regenerated, that's what makes Edo Tensei so fearsome.

yeah they had no legs but the rest of the body was intact, this allows the body to use cells in the body to regenerate the lost body part. if they had nothing do u think they could regenerate.

There are no cells. It's all a projection. It's just ash. Basically a soul with a container of ash, doing what ever he was able to do before he/she died. Don't bring DBZ into the discussion cause Cell is made of real cells.

EDIT: Regeneration is actually the wrong word here. I would rather say "come back together". If the soul is summoned and bound to the world of the living like that, it only makes sense that it's immune to physical damage because no physical body was summoned in the first place. It's just ash. The Cell logic only applies when it's a real body.
