Yeah I'll get you a place where you can get good techno/grunge brushes if you want them, or you can use a stock.

Edit: Or look for a tutorial using your characters as a BG (Blur, Motion, Grain, ect.)

They look crumbly and bitten off in this banner. Dunno if you intended that.

Ripping characters from wherever you rip them from is time consuming. The outlines are horrible. You need to erase the backgrounds pixel by pixel with 400-1000% zoom. Or, you could just grab the pen tool and do it the easy way. But I don't recommend that cause some shapes are impossible to mark.

In that case it seems you are too reliant on the magic wand to cut out your images. Its only really good if there is a high contrast between the background and the image you want to cut. Otherwise I'd use the marquee tool to go around the images parameter and then carefully use the eraser tool to remove the remains. That's one way to go about it. Another way is depending on which version of photoshop you are using you can use the Extract feature which makes cutting a bit easier but it is a bit more advance if you want to use it correctly. There is several other ways to cut out images. The good-tutorials.com has shit loads of tutorials on how to cut images. Also try looking for high quality images to work with.
