A little explanation might be in store. Basically ever year in Peru, people get together and party for 3 days straight. On the 3rd day (Christmas Day) people with grievances with one another get together, beat the shit out of one another, go get drunk, and put the past behind them, so they start out the new year with a clean slate. FUCKING AWESOME!!! Anybody can participate. Men, women, and even children can duke it out.

I think the women fight harder then the guys do. LOL.

^ As funny as that would be, each fight is one on one. If some preteen dude wants to fight a grown man, I guess he could though.

I should also mention this shit is completely legal in Peru. You can beat the crap out of some dude (to an extent) and you don't go to jail. There are a few rules to it though. Both parties must mutually agree to the fight. The fight takes place in an open area (so there's no ambush tactics involved). Also there are referee's involved to break the people up, so injuries don't get too bad, or when one guy is clearly too damn strong for the other guy to have a chance against.

All in all, I think it's a cool tradition. I think we need to do this in the U.S. I have a few people I'd like to beat down for sure.

Here's some guys fighting. I love this shit soooo damn much. It's just regular people brawling, and half of them can't fight worth a damn. It doesn't get more real then that.

To me this is far more enjoyable then watching UFC or boxing, because some of these guys have genuine grievances, and want to wreck each others shit, though just as many are just friendly fights. That's far better (imo) then a professional fight where it's all business.

I don't mind legitimate combat sports, but they do fall victim to outside interestes whether commercial or whatever. Which can have negative side affects. However they like this peruvian tradition are better practical applications for violence, and mans need for that sort of physical competition. If more people had outlets like this it would probably lower violent crime incidents.
