I dunno what they air in inferior countries. I'm American.

I was just going by how non-Americans comment on American happenings. I'm sure they don't know what is up in some shithole like Zimbabwe or whatever. Can't name who the Zimbabwe prime minister is off the top of their heads. Bet a lot of them know who the American President is though, like you said.

Well, to Americans, all other countries are pretty much Zimbabwes.
You make the tea bag movement proud.

No, other countries do what we want to do. I mean, I think. I'm American, after all. But just a quick wikipedia search on the "WAR ON TERROR" has a big ass list of countries that are in on it.

We decide something completely silly like "LOL LETS FIGHT FUCKING TERROR," and all these other supposedly awesome countries are like "Okay, sounds good, America." And all hop on board. If they were minding their own business they'd be like "Uh, no. I'm not wasting time and money doing that."
No shit there was some support. We basically roped other countries in thanks to NATO, even though support prior to the war was grim and we ran over UN laws and started it anyway. Also the contributions were pretty small given the " huge list ". 1k soldiers here, few aircraft there. The massive bulk was all us and our war time merce-..I mean contractors.

Quote:
And I'm pretty sure Israel is a comrade, no? What kind of unmanly pussy wouldn't help out a comrade? Sorry, America isn't an unmanly pussy.
Israel is not a comrade, but a crazy relative whom constantly gets you into unnecessary shit. But even we have a breaking point. Last year, despite the pressure on us, from Israel, to attack Bushehr failed big time. Specially with Russian and China basically stepping in and saying: Back off, this shit is stupid.

What happened after ? Israel bail out despite their Oh so manly threats to attack even without US support. Israel has hundreds of nuclear warheads, they have the most armaments ( supplied by whom else ?? us ) and yet they constantly hide behind our skirt after slapping a kid in the ME playground.

Is that deserving of our backing ?

Quote:
Not that your response made any sense anyway. You can totally mind your own business and then have someone come up to you and ruin your shit. In some idealistic fantasy world where everyone is reasonable and intelligent and diplomatic, it would definitely be a waste to build up your military strength. But in the real world being able to kick ass matters.
I'm well aware of that, we did to an innocent country for the past 7 years.

This fantasy world which you speak off actually exists outside of our media controlled matrix like reality. There are several countries that prosper and go about their business in the global economy just fine, without the need of pouring billions into weapons development, or targeting smaller, poorer and defenseless countries based on fabricated BS.

Is it important to be able to kick ass as you so put ? Sure. Or you can just not fuck with people for petty reasons and trade with them instead. But I guess that isn't mainly enough huh.

You have no clue what your talking about here. The US doesn't just back Israel, we got them on a leash. Every time they get into some scuffle, we go in tell them to draw back. If It weren't for us, they would have annihilated half the middle east by now.

Just look at what happened to Lebanon a few years back. Hezbollah shot a few hundred rockets into Israel, and Israel invaded their little country, killed thousands, whooped ass, made half the country uninhabitable, and then negotiated for peace after the war was finished. All in all it took 3 weeks. Trust me, they don't need our help for anything.

No shit. Other countries suck, of course they're not going to contribute much. And they can say fuck off if they want. Just that if they do, we might say the same to them when they want our help. Other countries know America is fucking useful when it comes to battling.

Yeah, what's your point here? We help them, you talk shit. We don't help them, and you make it sound like we still suck somehow. You just give off this vibe like you kinda don't like America or something. I dunno. Maybe it's just me.

I'm going to stop fucking around now, since I don't really want to feed your super Anti-American hatefest in response to posts that were obviously non-serious.

Dude, jesus fuck. Do you really, honestly believe shit is going to remain relatively peaceful and cool forever starting now? There are going to be no more wars to be fought once asshole America stops picking on middle eastern shitholes? There is no chance of some serious business big war ever again?

That's retarded. If everyone cut back hard on military spending and became a bunch of pacifist nations, then yeah. That'd be awesome. But it only takes one asshole to fuck that up. And there are lots of crazy asshole people out there who just want to fight. That's not going to change.

You can say stupid shit like we don't need to continually waste money improving our shit since it's already really fucking awesome. But you don't stay on top by stagnating. To stay on top you have to continuously improve.

You might think it's not important to stay the best. Just be good enough to defend yourself. Well, the two are one in the same. When it comes to the defense of hundreds of millions, to possibly billions, of lives, being able to defend yourself against almost everyone isn't good enough. If you're not the best then you're just hoping that whoever is isn't the dude that decides to fuck you up. And, like I said, not everyone is rational and diplomatic. It doesn't have to be fair, it doesn't have to make any sense. You can do everything right and still have that one crazy leader decide it's time for war for whatever reason.

Honestly, do I think America is some flawless nation of pure awesome? Of course not. I'm sure most people would consider me kinda unpatriotic, if anything. I don't give a shit about nationality. If I could, I'd do away with nations altogether and have people unite and work together because we're all just fucking people. But that's obviously not realistic, because there are people out there that just blow people up without any real purpose to it and other crazy shit like that.

Does America suck as much as you're making it out to be? Fuck no. Sure our government does stupid shit, politicians bicker and fight about meaningless crap while not simply looking out for the best interest of the people they're suppose to represent, etc. Find me a nation that doesn't have that shit. All nations have their flaws. All countries have their fair share of dumbasses, stupid laws, poor choices, etc. America is still a pretty kick ass nation, as far as countries go. We have an incredibly strong military which can protect our citizens from any threat, along with being able to protect people from other countries should we need to. We enjoy an extremely large amount of freedom, have a relatively high standard of living, maintain stable relations with much of the civilized world, etc.

America is pretty damn awesome whether anyone wants to admit it or not. This is coming from a guy who really doesn't give a fuck. I'd move out of America in a heartbeat if some grappling dude was like "Yo, you can live at the gym here and train for free, man" in any english speaking country (Or hell, any non-total shithole country. I don't need to talk to people.). I really don't care. I'm just giving credit where it's due, since I'm not a huge vagina.

You can't be comparing a fight against Iran to the 06 invasion. That is flat out asinine. Unlike Lebanon, whom had over 1000 of its citizens killed during the operation, Iran actually has the capability to put up a fight. Israel cannot sustain a war effort against Iran, which is why there was so much tension when Obama was coming into Office, due to his unknown commitment to Israel, and the pressure from Israel on the US on the totally fictitious Iran nuclear weapons situation. Which is why they haven't done anything yet minimality, while we are using our influence on the UN to place ridiculous sanctions on Iran, even though they passed several IAEA inspections.

As AMA already pointed out, Israel isn't in need of any help. A great example of this is the Six-Day War. Basically, Eqypt, Jordan and Syria are all "" and Israel was all "lol" and killed some 20,000 of their dudes while losing around 900 of their own.

Re: The World's Happiest Countries

Heh - I completely missed the Zimbabwe comment. Not sure why you hate them, Zimbabwe is the country of billionaires! (If you don't get it, look up their currency.)

Anyway, fun story. When I was in Tanzania, I was waiting to transfer to my next hotel before going up the mountain, and my wife and I sat and had breakfast with two guides and the owners of the campsite we were at. It was a very interesting time talking to them about news and issues that matter to them, which is completely different from anything we hear about in Canada. Anyway, on the topic of problems with Zimbabwe, one of summed up the situation quite simply. He knew a man who needed to go to the bank, but he had so many Zimbabwe dollars, the only way he could get them there was to put them into a wheel barrow and cart them down to the bank. When he got there, there was a big line up. He waited and waited but then had to go to the bathroom. So he asked a man if he would watch his money so he could go. The man agreed, and the first man ran off behind a wall to relieve himself. When he got back, the man was gone... and had taken the wheel barrow with him. The man's cash was in a pile on the sidewalk.

Re: The World's Happiest Countries

Sorry for the derail but I just remembered there's 10(or 12) russian nuclear submarines in the Hudson river that aren't detectable by the sonar radar(sp?) but there are also 10(or 12) American nuclear submarines that aren't detectable by sonar in Moscow, so it's basically stalemate according to my English teacher. The world is so different now knowing they can blow the fuck out of NY(>:0) at any moment but then again I'm safe knowing we can blow the fuck out of Moscow(=D) at any moment.

Yeah, pretty much the same thing happened to Germany after WW1 too.

Edit: Kluang, was looking for a few wheelbarrow pictures from that era with money in them but this one is even better to drive the point home.

This reminded me of this radio talk show I listen to sometimes at work. It's one of those sunday talk shows that talk about money and investments, and shit like that. One of his gimmicks is he gives away 100 trillion Zimbabwe dollars to some lucky listener every show. I thought that was awesome as shit, until I found out it's about 35 cents in US dollars. LOL.

With hundreds of trillions needed to buy a loaf of bread. I can safely say we found our least happiest country in the world. :{

Re: The World's Happiest Countries

Lolol, China. A piano song? Please. Look to the Japanese for a proper insult to America.

"You put oil embargo on us? FUCK YOU, HERE BOMB!" and that's how Pearl Harbor happened. Yeah, Japan got brutalized following this (well, following the Battle of Midway, but you get my point {hopefully...}), but at least they expressed their rage in the universally recognized symbol of violence. You can't misinterpret that.

Also, it's Lang Lang's opinion (and other Chinese people's, yadda yadda yadda) that America sucks. America recognizes his freedom of speech, so we won't do anything about it (it's also something really petty to get bent out of shape for). But if an American played an anti-Chinese song while in China? He'd probably get shot because China shits all over human rights. Us not caring about a stupid song shows America's merciful and understanding nature.

tl;dr America > China.
