Assuming it's true, it doesn't seem like much of a stalemate to me. I mean, yes each country involved would be dead in the water if they lost their economic capital, but the entire world would likely be fucked if NY up and disappeared. Except Zimbabwe.

On the bright side, if NY got nuked, there goes the UN headquarters. That might be a good thing for the US. Especially seeing as we pay 40% of the UN budget, and get 100% of the blame anytime something goes wrong. Yeah, fuck those guys.

C'mon, NLB, Jaxon, Mal... if there was proof the submarines were there, it'd mean they would have found them, which means even if you can't detect them with sonar, they have been located, which means if there was some problem, you could go send in some scuba divers or something and take care of the situation. OR just air strike the whole damn thing preemptively. I don't see the worry or stalemate.

Fuck english." and we'd be like "Fuck yeah." Though I thought the same as you until I thought about it, the "Cold War" couldn't just be based on a stupid political standoff. It would make sense since U-boats(submarines) were created right around WWI and the cold war was after that, so can't say it makes no sense. He said that he has no proof it's up to us to believe him or not but I'm in the middle. Also let me clarify when I said not detectable. I meant it would be on and off the radar and they're unpredictable so there's no point in tracing it.
