Also, Shogun 2 is awesome now I'm starting to get used to it. Went with the Date clan, accidentally ran into someone that had 12 samurai bow units in it and they proceeded to rape me.

Supposedly the Co-op sucks. I've never actually tried the Co-op yet, though. But I've heard it's really hard to connect with the people that you actually want to connect to, or something like that. I don't know if it's any different on the 360 vs PS3. I have it for PS3, by the way.

On the Skyrim note, incredibly gentle system requirements have been release. As it is one of the two major big name games coming out that I'm even remotely interested in. Tis good to know it will be running at MAXIMUM POWER!

You do realise that's because it's still basically running on the Oblivion engine.

Skyrim's graphics are not vastly improved from what, 5,6 years ago.

No I did not realize that. Actually the opposite. Fairly certain I've read that it has a completely new game engine, the "Creation Engine".

That's what Bethesda say, but it's really not that much more advanced than Gamebryo. Everything in the trailers that's not pre-rendered doesn't look much better than Oblivion with mods. The character models are significantly better but that's not really saying much, since Oblivions character models are all kinds of hilarious.

360 is the lead development platform, that's pretty much all that needs to be said.

Yeah, been looking into it a bit. It is a whole new engine, but less focus on graphical improvement, and more about having a more dynamic environment. Controlling the fluidity of model animations appose to pixel count. Along with the evolutionary like npc and quest systems, seeking to bring a more realistic living world.

Which all sounds good. I do like the pretty colors and flashing lights as much as the next guy. Problem is that it's the major staple of each progressive game generation. But graphics are generally the last thing I would consider and critique about a game. Been saying it for years, as the technology becomes more powerful, and storage space became greater. The new available resources shouldn't all be used up by the 'greatest graphics possible' model. Developers should use the new technology to improve game play above all else anyway.

So this isn't really a negative in my book.

I am with Axiom. Graphics (textures and models) are at the point now that I don't really care if they improve and I would rather see improvement in other aspects of gaming, such as animation and AI.

BF3 is madnessssss, installing and just get it to play is a pain but the game is amazingly beautiful. I need glasses tho, the game is so dark on some maps that I can hardly see the enemy so I just shoot whatever moves.

Also I hate Battlelog. It's a shame a game so great and has all these annoying things to get it to play that just bums it out sometimes.

Yeah, I'd love to play the game on PC, but even if I had the specs to run it on high, I don't think I could cope with Battlelog.

Game comes out friday here, but I should be going to pick up the console peasant version on 360 tomorrow morning.

My feelings exactly. I had been planning to get it on the 360 anyway to play with my non-PC-gaming friends, and was disappointed by this up until I heard about all the bullshit that is the PC version. Now I'd be getting the 360 version anyway.
