WAR IN DA NORTH! I think Macy and I have almost completed that, not sure how many chapters there are in the game.

How did you like Witcher 2? Which option did you pick for the second chapter?

That's what developers should do, though I've pirated lots of games I would agree to this kind of DRM. Kinda like ArmA 2 FADE, which gave pirated versions horrible aiming accuracy and stuff and I don't think its been cracked yet.

My game of the year is Skyrim, I give multiplayer game of the year to Battlefield 3, adventure to Saints Row 3 and as always MW3 will win FPS of the year because of no reason though I would give it to BF3.

Deus Ex, Legend of Zelda, LA Noire, The Witcher 2, Portal 2 should win something too.

Re: Games and all things related

The Witcher 2 is one game I'll buy as soon as I see it on sale through Steam, or once I can justify the full price. I've got too many other games to play and things to do right now.

Killing Floor is free this weekend, and 75% off.

There is NO reason not to buy it, now that it doesn't cost LOADSAMONEY.

Even $5 is too much for me, I don't really like the game.

Goddamn. It was way too short. But fucking awesome. Combat system rocks. And the grapics...amazing.

Went with Roche on the first playthtrough, going with Iorvath this time. I am in chapter I again. But at least there will be a third part. Also, a lot less sex this time. But way more crafting and shit. That was awesome as well.

But again, too short. Luckily there are more ways to complete the game...

Also, WH40K Space Marine...a bit mindless, but what's to say against mindlessly slaughtering thousands of orcs with a poweraxe, Chainsword or Powerhammer!

Re: Games and all things related

I don't think it was too short, I got 35 hours out of my first playthrough which is pretty decent for me. Then again I was annoyed with how short Chapter 3 was in particular, after how long the first 2 went for. For my second chapter I went with Iorvath but will team up with Roche next time, also want to complete more of the side missions.

How did you find the start? Before the patched it a lot of people were complaining about the learning curve. Combat system was a hell of a lot of fun, I specialised in just melee stuff but next time will do more on the signs.

Graphics were the best I've seen in a long time, and I played mine on windowed medium graphics. Will definitely play it again after I complete Witcher 1.

Mal - Aww, why don't you like it? The controls or something?

Also, if you want to get the Witcher 2 cheap then Steam Winter sales will definitely have it at least 50%-75% off this time around. If not then I know that GoG.com also have a deal on it regularly and sometimes for as low as $20. And that's the non-DRM version too.

Manta- I do love it when developers do that, same for Arkham Asylum where they made it so that Batman couldn't glide properly. Or this other game where as you played it it just became more and more blurry, think it was a Helicopter simulator.

Over half way through Amnesia now, scared of my own footsteps. I dropped a book on the floor and almost ran into a cabinet before I remembered that I was the one who made the noise... but I couldn't be sure.

I'm not even sure what I didn't like about Killing Floor, I just couldn't get into it. It didn't feel right to me.

I don't really care about non-intrusive DRM, if I need to have Steam to play something it's not a big deal because I'm going to have Steam anyway.

Re: Games and all things related

Played on high graphics and normal mode. And unpatched...it was damn hard before level 20 or so. specialised in melee as well, and at 35 I was unstoppable.

I will probably play it some more times, since one has a lot of options in skills and story.

And your right, chapter 3 was way too short. Also I expected more character development, but I hope for Witcher 3.

Probably starting a 3rd and a 4th one after that. I want to see all the starting scenarios.

Vanquish is a very good time. So much fun with really well designed controls.

And you can use your LOVE, YOUR ANGER AND ALL OF YOUR SORROW in a quicktime event.

As well as being able to ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA your enemies with a standard melee.
