Re: Dragon Age 2, Titan Quest and all things related

Yeah its gonna be 5$ pretty soon with these deals. Also I still haven't fixed my problem with JC2 and Darksiders but something on my PC is running VERY hot @96c, core temps are fine at 34c and card usually runs 66c- 70c. I think its the motherboard or RAM.

Still I dunno.

Gonna run CCleaner and some stuff to see and lowering it all up... also how can I play Darksiders windowed?

Edit: Also gonna disable all JC2 mods to see if that helps.

Re: Dragon Age 2, Titan Quest and all things related

Darksiders has been the only game I haven't rrun on Windowed mode. I think you can change the config file manually in the settings somewhere and set Full Screen to 'false' or Windowed to 'true', whichever it may be but I haven't looked too much into that. The usually Alt+Enter doesn't seem to work.

Somebody posted this on the Steam forums: http://forums.steampowered.com/forum...t-1674971.html

Quote:
google for Dxwnd

or use this download link
http://appaholic.co.uk/wp-content/up...08/03/dxwnd.7z

its easy to use.

add the darksiderspc.exe
and execute it

need no modification and works fine
but I haven't tried it myself to know if it works.

Ended up buying the magicka pack. Played the demo and it was entertaining enough. Bioshock 1 and 2 are todays 75% 2k deal.

I tell you though. This is why I did not want steam again. Got itunes, windows market place, impulse(just spent $100 on a thq bundle there) and now Steam, Im am buying more and more shit, that I yet to have time to play.

Stop looking at the store. I haven't left the Library page of Steam since downloading TQ and that's worked well for me. I also don't have my credit card info saved, so I have to physically get my card out and type in all those numbers, giving myself time to think about my purchase and reduce impulse buying.

Re: Dragon Age 2, Titan Quest and all things related

Batman... completed. Got Croc's hand at the end. Didn't do most of the Riddler's challenges and so on, so I ended with about 65% completed but I can take care of them another time.

Re: Dragon Age 2, Titan Quest and all things related

Mother fucking croc. He had such a lackluster showing. Spent the better half of the game hyping up your encounter with him, just to have you crawling around in the sewer knocking him down with one batarang. My only gripe with an otherwise awesome game.

True ending?

Yeah, I just got bored of trying to do them after the first few, the rest kind of happened by accident.

Axiom - I did like that level, but I would have appreciated a better fight with him after it 'cause it did feel like a waste of a good boss. It did remind of those good old days of playing Crash Bandicoot and having to run away from a giant rolling boulder though... just minus the Batarang and giant man crocodile.

Re: Dragon Age 2, Titan Quest and all things related

Meh - the Riddler challenges were pretty boring. Just have to run around a lot. Some were clever enough and required Batman knowledge, but beyond that.

I also was disappointed with Croc. Didn't mind the whole level set up, but figured you'd have to fight him at the end of it - like Bane but tougher. Oh well.

Jaxon - which one do you count the true ending?

Re: Dragon Age 2, Titan Quest and all things related

Yeah, maybe they'll make something for him in the sequel... hopefully anyway. Which ending did you get? I did love listening to all the interview tapes though.

Might finish Darksiders or BioShock next. Mass Effect I'm going to save till after my dissertation since I've heard it can be kinda long.

Has anyone here tried out any of the Total War series? Like Rome or Empire?

Re: Dragon Age 2, Titan Quest and all things related

The croc level in and of itself was fine. I just couldn't believe that was it. From the elevator scene with him, and hearing his craggly voice echo down the corridors. After collecting the spores, and I kaboomed him into the fecile river, I fully expected him to pop back out while I was trying to exit, pissed off and ready to rumble.. I dont know it just seemed like a waste of an otherwise perfect setup.

Also I think Nerox is a big total war buff, you may want to ask him for a place to start in the series.
