I used to play it when it first came out (when I had a pc that could handle it). And before that I logged untold hours on AoE 2.

AoE2 was a great game. How does III compare?

So, all the talk about LAN games had me reminiscing. Anyone interested in the strategy based battle/warfare games? Thinking Age of Empires III (anyone played it?) or even a Command and Conquer. Would be up for vs or co-op.

Also, TF2... I should end up getting it sometime soon. I hear people like this game.

EDIT: Bah. Video card can't handle Civ 5. What a joke.
Definitely get TF2 soon, you'll love it. Also, play Portal!

As for Civ 5, what they might end up doing is putting the entire Civilizations catalogue for sale since that's what they've done for Mafia, BioShock and Borderlands. The reason I think it might be the Civ series is because those are their 4 major games that they have in their catalogue, unless they do something stupid and end the sale with Railroad Tycoon or some bullshit. =/

Overall I prefer the second one, I could probably still play for hours today. But 3 did have some really fun aspects, and I liked some of the new civs, especially the Russians. And I haven't even played any of the expansions. Will play again when I acquire a new pc.

Well, I already have Civ 4 with Warlords on my computer and was hoping I could end up playing Civ 5, but for whatever reason, what I would call a graphics low game doesn't like my graphics card... despite all the numbers matching or being higher. Don't quite understand, but whatever.

What graphics card do you have? If all the numbers match/are higher then it should be fine. My graphics card isn't even recognized.

Quote:
Windows XP SP3
Intel Core 2 Duo 1.8Ghz or AMD Athlon 64 X2 2.0Ghz Processor
2 GB RAM
8 GB free disk space
DVD Drive for disc-based installation
256 MB ATI 2600 XT/nVidia 7900 GS video card, or Core i3 integrated graphics
DirectX 9.0c-compatible sound card
Internet connection and a Steam account for authentication

Re: Dragon Age 2, Titan Quest and all things related

^Thats pretty damn low on the system demands scale. For those that cant make that, it might be time for an upgrade. If you have the means.

I personally will donate $5 since I don't have much on my account, all to charity.

Also the 3 games can be activated through Steam.
Nice find. Think I shall partake.

Re: Dragon Age 2, Titan Quest and all things related

I don't have it memorize, but when I ran a check, they said I didn't meet minimum even though the numbers seem to read that I had. I'll have to look into it tonight.

Still, only a concern if it comes on sale at a good price.

If the numbers are good, that's all that counts. The next sale is up in 30 minutes, we shall seeee.

I think Demi is right on his call for a sale on the entire civ line-up, and if so it will probably be 75% off like the other deals.
