He wont step down, just like I suspected. That man have tasted power for 30 years. A million protester gathered peacefully wont flinch him. You guys have to march down to his palace and pull him down.

The military is claiming they'll assist the protesters in removing him from office, but not take over in a military coup. Same military leaders also said that this protest will turn into a coup if this keeps up, but they'll work with the protesters regardless.

but Mubarak just give a statement that he wont resign, he gave most of his power to his vice. But still he still have major political and institutional influence in the current political order. That mean he still stay on the helm. The military have to make their move now.

He's been in power too long to just give it up now. It will take a form of coup to get him and his cronies out of office. Hopefully it will just be the military aiding the public in ousting Mubarak and company and they won't take over the country like the current leaders of Burma.
