Ok tough question here

Out of all the Straw Hat Crew, who is your least favourite and why ?

I'll be honest I love them all but if I ahd to state someone as my least favourite just now it would be Robin, mainly because out of the timeskip I havent seen her doing something pretty awesome, except the Giant Hand.

I do like Robin incase anyone misreads but just now shes not my favourite.

I'd have to say Robin. She's always seemed like the least contributing member of the crew. She doesn't ever say or do much. She's pretty weak in battles. Her only redeeming quality (other then the hot body), is that she always seems to know something about a topic at hand, and she's somewhat good at strategies.

She's also somewhat lacking in the humor department. She never instigates the humor like the rest of the crew. She just quietly goes along with it. Plus she's a bit pessimistic at times.

I like Robin very much. She is very insightful and extremely useful with gathering information. I'm sure Oda is going to work on fleshing out her character more during the New World voyage. I also like the fact that she isn't as rambunctious as the rest. This leads to more humor, for example, during Thriller Bark when Franky, Usopp, and Chopper wanted to do that docking system. First time we ever see her get truly pissed, crap was hilarious because of how so out of character that was. Give her some time, Oda won't fail to please.

If you think about it, Brook doesn't contribute as much either yet we still find him pretty epic. Eh...I guess its personal preference. My favorite character would probably have to be Luffy. Its not because he just the main protagonist of the story but its more than that. As far as main protagonists goes in any series Luffy is one of the most well developed characters thus far. Everything about him is great, sense of humor, resolve, insight, skill, strength, ect... its very well laid out. Its really hard for me to pick a main character because all of SH pirates, as I seem them, are equally great and Oda does an amazing job of not letting one overshadow the other, albeit Luffy does get a slight more of the lime light for obvious reasons. Its the only series in which I really have no issues with any of the characters in the One Piece world.

If I had to pick a favorite villain though I'd say Eustass Captain Kid. He looks like he'll seriously give Luffy a truly epic fight and will be of huge importance in the storyline. His character design is true to that pirate "look". His DF is uniquely impressive as well and the way he carries himself, even in front of someone like Rayleigh the Dark King, he remained composed after Rayleigh had used haoshoku haki to prevent that Tenryuubito lady from killing Caime.

Robin usually win in this type of thread, but that is because of her part 1 perception I believe.

She had one good fight in part one by herself, and she proved that she is quite capable, she was the 2nd in command for Crock's organization after all. During the W7/EL arcs the focus around Robin was not about fighting, but her coming to terms with what happened to Ohara and finally tearing down the barriers she put up around person and being completely honest about her desire to be with the SHs, as they are the only people she has now.

We saw how determined she was not to lose her nakama as she fought every step of the way to stall for time and be rescued. It was very dramatic and worth it in its delivery. The arcs after that all had the SHs dealing with things as a group more than individually, so she didn't get a moment in the spot light alone for the most part.

With that said, I think the SHs are all now on equal lvl in terms of battle possibility after the TS. They all got their power ups and with the endless scenarios available I think we'll see Robin get more 1 on 1 fights. She already shows promise, manos gigante is pretty bad ass.

I was always praising Oda for making his main cast really fun, so everyone are quite likable. I wouldn't answer 'Robin' here though, because, holy shit, she was always awesome. If I had to answer, it would be Brook. I love that skeleton, but others were in my heart for much longer then him, what can I say. I started reading OP a really long time ago, and took breaks here and there.

Really hard to answer with so much time behind me, I am really attached to each one of them. But definitely, I like Robin more then Brook, Usopp and Nami. The only real screentime where I enjoyed Usopp was the Sogeking part which made him hilarious. Before that, meh, I really didn't like him. Nami I liked always, but she just kept bossing around and didn't have fun fights, so her character bore me in time.

^ Psh... you're insane. Usopp is awesome. (I really enjoy every time Oda has Usopp do something competent.)

I am not nearly up to you guys, so have no idea who Brook is (I'm OK with minor spoilers but am staying out of the chapter talk) and the crew is about to add Franky, so based on Shrike's solid reasoning, it'd be him. However, one character I just have never truly got into is Sanji. The only fun parts are his back and forth with Zoro, but that's about it. Don't hate him, just not a huge fan.

Sanji's character does evolve more as the storyline progresses. You'll find his character more appealing with the added developments after W7/Enies Lobby. Oda seems to be moving away from the one-on-one fight ploy momentarily to emphasis the SH as a collective. The way they fight in a well tuned fashion as seen in Thriller Bark and Saboady Archipelago show's how much the SH have bonded throughout the 1 1/2 years (rough estimate, can't remember the exact length of time they've been traveling).

I agree with dagoro about the W7/EL arcs. Robin was spectacular there. I just think (emotionally speaking) her character began to regress after that rather then progress. I mean when she first appeared she was somewhat cocky and shit. She popped up on the SH ship was all like 'Watup Guyz'. She just had that cool factor to her. Now she's more quite and composed, and doesn't offer much in the way of personality. She's basically the Thelma of the scooby doo gang.

Nami is cool though, but I never liked her fighting style. Her weapon just some gimmick meant to impress the reader. It's meant to have us thinking "what's it gonna do this fight". Any serious opponent could decapitate the girl before she even gets it out. Even her new haxxed out version didn't really do much when she used it. She blew up the bar she was in, but only manged to piss off the pirates that were harassing her. If she knocked them all unconscious that would have been OK, but she didn't. So far I'm unimpressed.

My main problem with Nami is that Oda never really showcases her thieving skills. This is a girl who was known as a master thief since childhood, and nearly collected 100,000,000 beli for arlong, but she's never really used those talents in a meaningful way since she joined the SH's.

Brook feels odd to me. He's funny as hell, but his presence on the crew is awkward. He seems like he just doesn't have a place where he excels in. He's a swordsmen, but he's not a good as Zoro. He's a funny comedian, but Usopp is better. He's a pervert, but Sanji is even more perverted. He's knowledgeable about events, but not as much as Nami or Robin. He's totally carefree at times, but not as much as Luffy. So what does he excel in? He's seems more like a sidekick then a real crew member.

I agree. We never get to see Nami's thieving skills but Oda is to blame. All the situations that the SH pirates have been in has never allowed Nami the opportunity to use those skills. Like I said with Robin, Oda will probably use the New World to really flesh out his main characters.

I don't think that is fair criticism. Nami became a thief for a reason, to buy back her village from Arlong and free everyone. Luffy liberated the village from Arlong and his lackeys, thus freeing Nami from that responsibility. Nami joined the crew in order to follow her dream of mapping the world, so its perfectly understandable for Oda not to have her go on burglaries or w/e.

He did use her thieving skills for comedic effect during the Davy back challenge and in EL, but that isn't and shouldn't be the focus of Nami's persona in regards to her past life. That is why I believe Oda only kept the obsession with money as her main gag.

It seems like thieving and money obsession would go hand in hand though. Not that I'm saying she should be the master thief of the crew. Just that the skills she's learned from her thieving past should be utilized more in the future. You know, things like lock picking, escaping handcuffs, and being sneaky in general. It would be useful if someone in her crew ends Kairoseki handcuffs in the future.
