I think its in part the nature of the seal. Naruto now has a seal that puts him in more direct control of the kyubi than the previous seal. I think the kyubi actually tried to resist the pull but was forced to come closer any ways.

As for this chapter, I think this is kishi's way of phoneing in a chapter for this week so he can spend a few more days on vacation. Very little effort. Very little art work. No need for any serious effort. The perfect throw away chapter.

To all the dipshits that whine about our constant bitching of how far Naruto has fallen since the days of Part 1...this is a prime example of why we do it.

My opinion of this chapter...this was the gayest piece of shit chapter Kishi's written yet. Seriously, he's not even trying anymore. This chapter made no sense as it didn't introduce anything we didn't already know and didn't advance the plot, such as it is, at all.

I don't think I've read a positive opinion on a chapter for a while.

Thing is, Kishi has a plan, he knew the ending ever since the beginning ans hes working towards it.

If he's reiterating a point, that doesnt mean hes wasting your time, it could mean that what he reiterated is relevant for the upcoming events and he wanted to show his point again just because some people may not follow the manga as closely as we do and will have forgotten things that happened 400 chapters ago.


Fact is, you're still reading his manga and for free as well. Shut the fuck up or just stop reading...he must be doing something right if he's keeping your attention even though you all claim every chapter is shit

Also I wanted to say this about those who thought it was bullshit that kishi skipped a lot of fights in the war...he must be rushing the manga...at least he's not delaying it like kubo. Those fights may be in flashbacks later on OR it may be filler parts in the anime

You guys should see NF, they are doing some serious gymnastics to make this chapter worth a damn and anybody that is saying things like they are is getting wrongfully belittled.

I think it was general consensus in this forum that Mifune vs Hanzou was a couple of good chapters, so there you go, disproved already.

And you know this how? I tell you that many long-term mangaka don't have a defined ending when they first come up with the manga, only a vague idea. I know this because I have like 4 different endings on stock for my manga and I can't decide on which, only when I reach said ending I might get a clue what is best.

Except this has been pandered every 10 chapters. Naruto and Sasuke flashbacks are like mushrooms in the manga, they just pop up and they are starting to be annoying at this point.

Also, I think he should treat his readers a little better than people with golden fish memories.

B) This chapter wasn't even close to as gay as the hair talk with hologram mom. Or crying to the Raikage. Or being on an S-Ranked Nature Hike.

Rather this hokey bonding crap has always been a part of Naruto, but the flashback is long overdue since the first finger clasp was at the battle at the VotE. To explain it now, to remind us that Kishi hasn't forgotten about the whole bonds thing, feels like Kishi just came up with a way to explain it that was eluding till now.

It does when it has no relevance to the current plot. If he had introduced this at the end of the VotE fight, it would've made sense, but it doesn't now.

This was a blatant waste of a chapter and even you can't deny it.


How many times must it be beaten into that dense skull of yours? We're over 500 chapters into this and it's close(ish) to ending. We're more reading it now to see how Kishi will end this atrocity to his original idea and we're hoping for that 1 redeeming chapter that will start to put things right. Instead we get a chapter that that is gayer than Naruto looking for armadillo dick.

No shit he's rushing it. We've known this since the Immortals arc. Way to finally catch up to the rest of us.

What the fuck would be the point in that? Honestly, give me a credible reason to have fights like Kakashi taking on the Swordsmen or Gaara and Oonoki taking on the Kages as flashbacks. Hell, we haven't even seen ANY of the Jinks since Kabuto was showing off his collection of Edos.

Not a bad chapter at all, This chapter dipicts all the adversity naruto had to go through and overcome with this mass of hatred living inside him. I like to see how far naruto has come from losing control to the kyubi to actually conquering it and using it as a tool to end the very hatred the kyubi thrives off of. Naruto has changed himself from the inside Which in itself is a remarkable feat indeed. "As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others." All this time we've been watching this boy grow.. Now hes a man. Cant wait to see this guy in action.

Maybe I'm just too soft, but I kinda liked this sentimental chapter (lets be honest half of Naruto is about sentimental stuff). Maybe its nostalgia seeing something that resembles the first part of Naruto, however I do agree that this needn't take up the whole chapter, especially after waiting 2 weeks for one.

If the flashback were subtracted, it would be a decent chapter. Seriously, if it weren't immediately preceded by the hand-holding bullshit and that hadn't been the source of Naruto's "willpower", Kyuubi wouldn't have looked half as much like a total bitch. The whole "fuck you Kyuubi" is alright, but yeah, coming right after that flashback kinda ruined it all. As did coming before the flashback.

It also sorta contradicts the whole "Sasuke was the only person who Naruto understood at all as a kid and really wanted to be bffs (best friends or butt fuck forever? you decide!)."

I got absolutely nothing from this chapter, no new info on NaruSasu, knew the Kyuubi could talk, knew Naruto wasn't going to change 'the way of his ninja', nothing. Another 'next I'm going to destroy the world' moment (like Kakashi's rampage, etc.), but then a flashback to a bedtime story, that gave me NOTHING. Glad for you others that gained something.

It does show one thing... Sasuke never was 'like a brother' to Naruto in Sasukes mind. At best the clown was cool, and somebody who had his back vs. Haku, so he looked to pay him back whenever necessary until he left. Sasuke only showed true feelings in the whole manga for 2 people Itachi, and his Mother.
