Indeed. Oda proves his skill with appealing to the emotional side once again. Glad Oda also cleared up why Neptune let Otohime handle everything herself, it's understandable given his past and why he felt unworthy.

The human shooter was either planted or sent there, the whole thing seems like it was an obvious set up. The question now is: Was it Hodi or possibly Arlong under Kizaru's orders ?

I don't think VD could be the one. he simply got lucky with the commotion and was able to touch Shirahosi imo.

Lol at Luffy sleeping through the whole thing and then asking about something that happened right at the beginning. Nami still hates Arlong, but at least has forgiven Hacchi and doesn't hate all FM. The fact the she and Shirahosi bonded right away is also quite amusing to me. Aside from their similar stories, they look so much alike as well lol.

Cliffhanger ahoy !!! Sucks that we have to wait 2 weeks.

I'm sure Hodi had something to do with the killing of Otohime. Firstly, because of his raging hate for humans and secondly, because he'd even kill fellow fishman that shows any interesting towards humans. VD simply wants the power to control Sea Kings for a greater purpose while Hodi wants to rule the seas and put fear into humans hearts. As crazy as Arlong he would never betray the fishman and kill the queen. That would be going against the ideals of the person he respected the most. Plus, he just wanted to do whatever the hell he wanted, the motivation wasn't there. If that were the case Arlong would be in the middle of this currently storyline right now somehow.

At least now we understand why Jimbei doesn't want Luffy to come into contact with Hodi, it would undo everything the queen's sons workd so hard for so that fishmen and humans could live together.

This is how it might all go down. Luffy will indirectly destroy Fishman Island, something a long the lines of the Eve Tree getting destroyed maybe. Since there is no more light they'd be forced to move to the surface. Its a pretty vague theory but I may be onto to something here.

I too foresee Luffy destroying FMI indirectly, but in my version Shirahosi does it after Luffy opens her eyes and gives her courage. Otohime said someone would guide Shirahosi, and Luffy has been doing that ever since they met. With her power she could guide her people to the the surface and protect them if need be.

Yeah, that seems the most likely route Oda will take with the story. The only slightly disappointing thing with this arc is that the main villains aren't that great. Not they are fodder or anything but they don't carry that same weight as Enel, Arlong, Don Krieg, and Lucci have as main villains.

Damn it !! no chapter next week.... anyway was his name Hordy or Hodi... though it was Hodi till now, maybe it was a mistake and now they changed it. Oh and I doubt that pirate was really the one who killed the queen and if he was their's more to it than that

I disagree. I think Hodi's current actions are a byproduct of what happened to the queen, rather then him having anything to do with it directly.

I place the blame for the assassination on the World Government. It's possible they forced Arlong to reveal secrets (layouts, blueprints, back alley passageways, etc...) about FMI to them in order to sneak their assassin in to do the job. It would explain what they did to Arlong after he got captured, and possible how he managed to be set free.

Little interest= not going beyond just commenting on that week's chapter. anyway, predicting what Oda will do is right next to impossible. The guy can conjure up some crazy twists.

It's a real shame that there isn't much OP fans. A lot of people think this is still a Naruto and Bleach only fan site so we go more of those even those OP is superior in about every way with the exception of maybe art which is also debatable.

Oda is a great artist.

He kicks ass when drawing landscapes and structures. As for the characters, most of the named ones have awesome designs, others are really funny looking but in OP you don't have to be pretty to kick major ass.

Take Jozu, Magellan, Kazu/Fukouru/Jyabura,Kumadori and Blueno from CP9, BB's crew is filled with ugly ass people and many more.

I like that about Oda. A lot of his characters have simple designs yet are effect plus when in contrast to landscape and architectural designs it really adds that much more emphasis to his background work which is awesome. Like Fishman Island currently, the Ryugu Palace has an amazing amount of detail its actually quite stunning. The same can be said about Thriller Bark and Water 7.
