Hey started reading Katekyo Hitman Reborn! and im at the 50th manga chapter, I'm enjoying it but I know there is an anime series too, so was wondering if anyone here would recommend watching it or stick with the manga ?

Reason I'm asking is I would rather the anime is similar to the manga not like Toriko anime series is.

And thanks for anyone who is able to give me the advice.

Well, I haven't read Reborn yet ( I plan to eventually ) but I usually prefer sticking to original canon over other media. When it's a manga, I get up to date on that first before seeking out the anime ( if there is one ). It's faster and no fillers, also better details.

I do agree with what your saying. I tend to usually read the first 100 hundred (( if it goes by that )) chapters before considering to watch the anime series becuause as you said, the manga is faster and if I was to watch the anime I would be able to pick up on any filler in it.

But I would definately say start reading it man its pretty awesome and its almost got 350 chapters now, so you will have alot material to read.

I've seen all the anime episodes and up-to-date with the manga. The anime pretty much stays true to the manga with minor differences, like the exclusion of the Tomaso Famiglia. They don't appear in the anime but I think that's ok for reason's you'll see once you are further into the manga. There are some minor filler episodes which are ok. I'd say go for it if you want, I enjoyed it in my opinion.

I'll say this though, they kinda space out events from the first 60 or so chapters of the manga throughout the anime. The thing I like about the manga is that they do most of the silly chapter bits in the beginning and starting with the Rukudo Mukuro arc things get serious from then on out. But again, the anime does a good job as well and its funnier watching Reborn kick the shit out of Tsunayoshi while animated.
