Fear of Death? - Page 3

This is more of an opinionated question... not a debate..

I don't think any of you who say you don't fear death have actually thought about the situation. If what you all say is true then I can drive to your house with a sharp serrated knife and hold it up to your throat threatening your life and ask you if you're afraid to die. I guarantee more than half of you who say you're not afraid of death will say you're afraid.

The fear of death can't be decided at such young ages as you all are... plus the fact that probably none of you have been in life or death situations in your lives. So therefore you do not know whether or not you're afraid of death. Sure I've thought about it and I'm dying (ironic eh) to see what comes after death.. but if someone held a gun up to my head and asked me if I was afraid you bet your ass I would say yes.

Now some of you may argue that you're afraid of being murdered not death. It's the same thing, in the end you won't be alive.. in other words dead. If you'd like to explain yourself more than please do so because I don't believe some of you who say you don't fear death.

Hmm...I'd have to disagree with you there person above me...cause if someone came into my house and held a knife to my throat then I probably wouldn't care, now if they came to my house and held a knife to one of my family member's necks, I would probably be scared shitless. I don't so much have a fear of dying as I do have a fear of the ones I love dying...I like the rest of the world am curious about what happens after death. One day I'll die, maybe by my own hands, life will go own, hopefully ppl will grieve, but life will go on.

You have to realize how very little you impact the world =]

The prospect of dieing doesn't scare me, the thing that kills me might. Though I am trying to get rid of that.

yeah Im a lil scared of death, and at the same time not, because it's a part of life.... but.... I would be scared for sure if someone held a knife at me or hold me at gunpoint..... but if i was on my death bed... then I would not be as scared... I probably just want to hurry up and die if i'm on my death bed

I think being able to talk about deah like the way we are doing in this thread, kinda helps me not fear it.... but then again... if i am just lying down on my bed... it's probably a different story. HAHAHA!! =P

fearing death is irrational, its all going to happen to us.

when it is our time to go, then we go...thats it. No use asking why or when we should go, when its time, then its time to go.

I'm intrigued at to what there could be on the plains of the afterlife, I've thought of myself as being an explorer of those plains...hell, really thought about going there a while ago...

However...

now I've met some really nice people and I'd like to stay here as long as I can before the ferry man sees me.

But I know that eventually everybody gets to see him so we'll all be in the afterlife. So we'll all eventually get to meet up again one day...

So quit being in fear and get to know people so you can track them down in the after life

When I die, it will be to get away from all the fucks I know, so I doubt I would look for anyone I know in the after life.

As for fearing death... I don't, I welcome it.

Latley I am just waiting to topple over and die. Life is boring to me.

If you're human.. you fear death. Unless you're psychotic and so far away from reality you don't realize you're about to die..

I guarantee if you all died tomorrow you'd regret it and wish you were alive. No need to act macho and deny it... it's just natural.. so quit being emo bitches and go live.

If I was sure that there is a new life after death, I wouldn't fear it that much.
