2. They can't find it because the Genjutsu was masking the clams location.
3. Gaara was able to find it because his jutsu revolve around sand so he was able to sense the clam because of the weight the clam puts on the ground around it or whatever.

I know Shino wasn't there but other villages has produced a lot of shinobi with 'different' types of earth jutsu, and of all of those dead bodies out there I was thinking it was possible for them to find the freaking clam. Gas being the deal nobody was immue.

I must say I know little to nothing about clams, but never heard of them emitting 'gas', different I'd say. So the only difference in the Clam Summons, and Hanzo's Salamader summons was what they actually manufactured for they're enemies, one being genjutsu gas, the other poisonous gas.

That being tha case, and I understand the link between clams and Mizukage, but I'm with someone else whom said 'another sea creature could've been used'. No biggie, but clams can't even move from my understanding (maybe wrong), they flow with the tides of the water i always assumed, unless the thingy inside was moving to another shell.

IDK dude, maybe clams have som place in Japanese mythology. Dont dwell on it. The point is that the clam spread a field wide genjutsu that was messing with every1, and Id assume itd be hard to locate the clam, while actually dealing with the mizukage. hes not gonna let some1 just walk up to it and destroy it

F this shit, I had a nice long post about the differences between genjutsu and mirage and now its lost, and now I don't feel like typing all that shit out again, so I'll be short.

Genjutsu is the manipulation of the chakra flow to make the victim perceive things differently, kinda like an induced hallucination. A mirage however has nothing to do with hallucinations, its something that you truly see (distorted, but you do see it). It's an optical illusion formed by the refraction of light due to differences in air temperature and thus differences in the refrative indexes of pockets, or better said, layers of air (for people who dont know about refraction and for the just plain old dumb people, an example of differences in refractive indexes (and refraction) is when looking through a glass of water. Water has a different refractive index than air (regardless of temperature) and thus what you see becomes distorted when you look through both). So, if its a mirage, what the clam is doing is just manipulating light through changes in the air temperature. Also, if the oily thing can be made/is see through this could also aid the mirage. A mirage is a good way to affect a number of people without them being able to get out of it since its not a genjutsu and it doesn't affect the chakra flow of people and thus injecting chakra into that person cant cancel the illusion.

This being called a mirage brings up several questions and loose ends. It's being called a genjutse as well as a mirage, this cant be. However this can be do to Kishi wrongly using the term mirage or perhaps the Mizukage using the term to "simplify" explanations. There is another possibility, that both are being used. Not as the same thing but side by side.

Now I'm going to stop, I don't feel like going into the loose ends and stuff again.

Nah dude, it's just a simple way for the Mizu to explain whats going on. You can't dissect every word kishi uses so critically, plus this is science fiction. Fiction meaning not real, if it's not real its not of this world. I feel all you forget that when you try to rationalize every move kishi makes. The narutoverse isnt earth, therefore (at least in my perception) anything is possible, up could mean down, water could be fire... what im saying is kishi isn't writing this story with a background education in physics or chemistry, thermodynamics or any of that shit. It's a fictional story so therefore things like saying a mirage is a genjutsu is fine, case closed.

You guys take this stuff to seriously, you can't just sit down, read the chapter and have fun. The pathetic part about it is every week you bitch and complain about how bad this manga has gotten yet every week you keep coming back for more... I dont get it, if this story doesn't make sense to your overally critically minds, and can't comprehend that it's scifi and not your story then stop coming back.... It doesn't make sense to come back every week just to bash on the latest chapter, its juvenile and borderline retarded.

Sidenote : Genjutsu wasn't created by the uchiha, they simply have a better perception of it b/c those damn hacked eyes allow them. Others can be genjutsu users and completly wipe the street with an uchiha in a genjutsu battle. To put it in simplier terms, just b/c your naturally talented in an area doesnt mean your the best, someone with more dedication and willpower can beat you i.e. Rock lee, or that guy with one leg who wins first place in olympic sprints.

And finally the clam could be emitting a gas, maybe it has a jutsu that puts everyone in a certian vacinity in an invisible bubble that causes mirage or a mutlitude of scenarios that i can't think of right now bc i just woke up. What im getting at is WHOCARES, the clam is a summon, it has genjutsu, ok cool i get it, WHY DONT YOU PEOPLE!

First of all i never said that i hate this manga so much. Why would i hate it? If your notions about stuff are limited to :"i hate it!" and "i love it" you are quite limited yourself. I said i just don't like that Kishi is making shit when he proved us all that he can make a very good chapter every once in a while.

On a much more interesting note, I believe that Kabuto had began 'collecting' DNA samples of some of these Edo's he controls even when he was working under Orochimaru. Its an assumption because I don't believe he would've had sufficient time to get all the Edo's he has since Oro was swallowed up by Sasuke, just my guess after seeing all he has, and he's not done yet. Oro was so much more consumed with his own shit to care about what Kabuto could do, or what he was doing outside of his own needs, and Kabuto was very limited back then compared to now.
