The clams gas.. hell could be a liquid vapors from it sitting out in the sun for all we know, causes a mirage or them seeing something that's really not there. And on the thing of Genjutsu users.. Konoha doesn't have a monopoly on Genjutsu.. not sure where that idea is coming from. The Sharingan is one of the great 3 dojutsu.. obviously there are lesser ones like the dojutsu from kurenai's clan as well as other eye techs and other ways to perform genjutsu as we see here in the case of the clam.

I for one really didn't have bad things to say about this weeks chapter besides getting annoyed that Mizukage being the uber troll that he is doesn't get a name. I for one would like to know more about this bad ass Aizen reject troll before he bites the big one. Yet from what I can tell there aren't really any Mist shinobi in this area (like really WTF is up with that. Papa Raikage had a cheerleader who played with rubber balls). My point is this instead of coming here to simply bitch about other members why don't you reject post your actual positive opinions on the chapter to diversify the conversation a little bit? There's nothing wrong with positive & negative opinions about the same subject. It allows for constructive conversation to emerge instead of this dumb ass troll fest that so called Naruto fans love to instigate.

Older than that. He's at least 4-5 generations before Suigetsu, since he's from the same era as Tobirama/Hashirama, who were ~5 generations before Naruto (who is the same age as Suigetsu).
