well of course i bet half of you do and haf of you don't know how to do it the correct way but i'm not saying you can't. well i'm having problems iwth it i'm not sure if anyone else has this problem but. i can't see the captions on the dvd when i burn it. so its cut off at the bottom but i can still see the whole thing.

I know I explained this topic at least 20 times. But here it is once more. In order for you to burn Fansub AVI's onto DVD_+R you have to have proper software. I:E
Ulead 9.0(which does not cut subs), Nero(latest version) Roxio, virtual DUb Mod, And or Gordian Knot(Latest binaries). All these programs except AVI's by default and will automagically =p format and encode your Avi's onto DVD. Except Vdub(Vdub is used to encode to AVi or whatever container you are using). But it all depends where the Sub group encode's(or program they use) there subs. Subs by A-Kraze, ANBU, A-ONe, And Shin-Otaku are easily re-encoded onto dvd with out loss of the subs via bottom of the screen. The only program That I personally know of that enables you to work with subs(move or Take out) is SOny Vegas 5.0. But It's expensive and not user freindly.

yeah i was reading your posts but i can see now that the programs that i'm using like nero 7 cough i dled it. but anyways yeah i used nero and it cut off ulead idk it can't find the right files so that it would burn on dvd.

a suggestion for people who have 6 ultra or 7 dled the packages and try to figure out how to do it. i recommend if you guys don't want to buy a whole lot of dvd-r or dvd+r get a read and write. test it out couple of times and stuff like that. but i'll look into what hokage inuyashi says

But isn't that technically illegal to do now that Naruto has been taken by the US? Copywrite laws and all...

OK, I've done this and I've posted this before. I guess I'll post it again since I'm in somewhat of a good mood.

First get a full version of DVDsanta. (best way, Limewire or Kazza)
Second get DVDshrink(FREE!)
Third Install both
Forth start up DVDsanta, clich on "Make DVD from files"
Fifth at the bottom it gives you some options, click on wide screen
Sixth encode the files you want
Sevinth AFTER that is done open DVDshrink
Eighth click "open files" and select the folder that you encoded the files to
Ninth (I shouldn't need to tell you this) put a blank DVD-R into your drive See note
Tenth click on "Back up!"

:note: You have to have nero installed for DVDshrink to burn the DVD. DVD-Rs work in almost every DVD player so I would suggest that you use this type of media, unless you have a DVD player that requinises DVD+Rs. If you do and your DVD burner supports DL(duel-layer) DVD burning then you could use the new DL DVD+Rs and put twice as many eps onto the disk. If you don't, Don't go out and but one just for that reason, DVDshrink lets you compress the DVD you made in DVDsanta to fit the DVD-R disk, the "give" is that the media is at a lower quality so the choice is yours. There is a diffrent way to get "alot" more onto the disk then the way I explained, I'll adress this in the guide I'm going to write.

That's all there is to it. Just as refrince I have been able to put 12 DBZ eps on one disk with out noticable quality change, most of the DBZ eps I have are about 25-30Mb, so with that in mind if you got your naruto eps from narutocentral.com you should be able to fit around 6-9 eps on one disk.

Note to the mods: As stated above, I'm going to write a guide on thisk, to be stickied so there should be no more threads on the matter. I'll be writing it in the next few days so please look for it.

P.S. DarkAztek, you are righ about that, it is. If your are worried about that sort of thing, then what are you doing here? I don't mean THIS are a flame, but the statement is true.

P.S.S. I know this is against the board rules, but I must say it "Simon the wiger, you are an ASS!" Out of the 4 posts you have made(at this moment), at least 2 of them are derogitory in some way or hard to read(for me at least ). Please pull your head out of your ass. I don't normaly flame ppl, only when it is nesisary.

Damn I can't spell worth a Shit.

well guess what it doesn't work all that great. if you dled a naruto and use dvd santa to shrink it or w/e it doesn't work on tv. its small as hella shruken i mean and the captions too small. dvd shrink makes it smaller but w.e. well i'm testing it out and see how i do. idk if its going to work or not. anyone have any other ideas
