Counter Strike Is Getting Obsolete Each Passing Months And I Think People Now A Days Are More Into Online Gaming And Rpg Gaming...

i agree, i played cs a lot before, but as sultrec said it is getting obsolete w/ new and flashier (<---is there a word??) than cs, and with the growing trend of online games where you can interact w/ more people... :]

but to be honest, it's an ok game, I never liked the community though, full of cheaters and shitty kids who piss me off ^_^;;

but I found a similar game, Tactical Ops and have been playing that for a long time, it's got a great community, very few cheaters. although recently their anti-cheat stuffs have been lagging the servers. not played CS:S yet, so can't give an opinion, although HL2 engine feels a little like ice skating, and I imagine that would carry accross.

CS source is not so different from CS

ive played it on my friends comp.
i dont like comp games though specialy ones that involve the keyboard! i hate using the keyboard as a controller!
im going to look into it for the XBOX. i dont know how similar it is though so thats why im going to look into it.

I think this game is awesome, I PW3N at it. personally, I dont see whats wrong with it. although they dont change or add new levels the graphics are VERY GOOD, very realistic, which is awesome, and also, the levels are already good, and theres a good amount, so what really needs to be changed, they get improved in each game. also, the game isnt as fun as when u start as when u get really good. its also fun when u are playing with friends. I think u guys need some better priorities if u like DBZ budokai 3 and dont like this game

I never got round to playing the first counter strike as i never had a good internet connection until recently so i've only been playing online games for the last year at most. Anyways as Daisuke said there is a UT mod called Tactical Ops which i play all the time and i think is awesome. It's very similar to CS but i find it handles better. I guess i'm just more used to it.

As for CS : source. It does indeed have an icy feel much like half life, but i got used to it quickly and it's not a major drawback. I really quite enjoy playing CSS but generally i go for Tacops purely because i know more people in the Tacops community and i'm still a total n00b at CS.

no not necessarily it matters on the speed and how well the graphics support is... anyway, as for the game, I play it from time to time, when there is a lan party with people I know, I never play online, its full of dumb people most times.

Been playing it for about a year and have loved it for about as long. The game is awesome, I don't care if it's "obsolete", it's the most played game online at the moment, with Half Life (another "obsolete" game), being second.

If it's so "obsolete", then how come it's THE most popular and THE best multiplayer FPS EVER? Never played the Xbox port, but heard it's not as good as the PC port. But I heard that CS: Source is crap, the better is much better. More reliable, more people, and a (somewhat) decent community. It all depends on the server(s) you visit though. In the last 6 months, I've visited 3 servers almost daily, all clan servers. Clan |Rx|, [BPWOYA], and -=[KrazY]=-, the latter of the clans I'm the leader of.

On the other 2 servers, I know every admin for [BPWOYA], mainly because I've played on the server so much, we've become CS buddies, at the least.
