Yeah, Darth Vader is definitley a great villain, but I'd say Kadaj from Advent Children is even more awesome.

Actually, I retract my earlier statement (seeing as how I didn't actually post it...) If I had to vote for a best villan, I'd say maybe Magus from chrono cross. It's a little old school I know, But Magus kicked ass! not only was he one of the most powerfull beings in all exsistance (and that includes time to) and that he turned one of you allies into a frog, but if you play your cards right he joins your team, so I guess he's not completly a villian but....
