I speak:
The two major "dialects" of Filipino which is
1.Tagalog and
2.Bisaya (their differences are soooo huge, it's really improper to call them dialects). Plus, at home we're quite hablantes ourselves, so there goes
3.Español in the list. At the university, I'm specialing in
4.Français and my secondary specialization is Spanish. I took
5.Italiano until up to the advanced levels because I wanted to take it as my secondary specialization, but then one night, after setting the table, I screamed, "Mangemos!" instead of the usual "Comemos!", which really pissed my mom off, so now my secondary specialization is Spanish, but still, posso parlare bene, e certo che posso capire l'italiano molto bene. Then, I had the opportunity of working at a call center company with some brazilians, and by listening to their conversations, I learned
6.Portugues, although the accent's Brasileiro, but still, I can hold a decent conversation with our Portugues professors whose accents are Portugues do Portugal. And then of course, the medium I'm using is
7.English. I can also understand
8.Latin (vulgar and classical) quite well (need dictionary), and have accomplished the not so mean feat of translating Hercules' Labors from Latin to English (it was required of our course). I can also speak and understand a pint of
9.Deutsch, although I'll be unable to converse decently in it. I can, however, spit out Schiller's Ode to Joy at a breath's notice. I love Beethoven so much and listened to his 9th symphony so much I ended up unconsciously memorizing the poem. I can also speak basic
10.Ruskie, and also
11.Hellenika. By saying I can "speak" doesn't mean I can hold a convesation. ^_^
But I really wanna learn Japanese or Korean or Chinese (whichever dialect). Anyone care to help?

English and tagalog are the languages that i speak fluently..
a little bit of french and spanish..

i believe tagalog, as well as cebuano, kapampangan, ilokano, ilonggo, etc, are "languages" of the philippines. even wikipedia regards them as languages, not dialects. now, dialects under tagalog are those of batangas, quezon, rizal, and other provincial differences.

i'm keeping up my spanish and french levels. i think i can go to francophone countries or latino americano countries without getting lost. i think i can do daily errands with what i already know of the two languages.
