Did I miss something? Cuz that did absolutely nothing for the plot. I understand that Kishi's trying to give everyone a background story, but.... is it really necessary? It seems like this is happening every other chapter and it's just taking too long.

I think the meaning behind Minato's words is that before bee becomes a weapon (neither jinchuuriki or a person) he must realize what he holds the most so that he doesn't become easily used by other people

Exactly..This wouldn't be a bad idea but if you're gonna go back in time then make the damn chapters LONGER so you don't loose focus on the story..It's too easy to loose track waiting weekly..Just make each chapter 30 pages and that flash back thing can fit in too that way without causing the reader to loose track later.
