Kyoto Animation Updates On Hyouka Series

Kyoto animation is getting things moving with its next series, entitled Hyouka, with it being set for the spring 2012 anime season. The studio has updated its site about the project which will be handled by Yasuhiro Takemoto, the man in the director's chair for Full Metal Panic: The Second Raid. The series is based on the first novel in the series by Honobu Yonezaw and involves a young man named Houtarou Oreki. Like many series he's a high school student that doesn't get involved but ends up joining the Koten-bu and finds himself involved with solving everyday mysteries.In addition to Takemoto directing, the voice cast has been announced with Yuuichi Nakamura voicing Houtarou Oreki, Satomi Satou voicing Eru Chitanda, Daisuke Sakaguchi voicing Satoshi Fukube, and Ai Kayano voicing Mayaka Ibara.
