Niji-Iro Hotaru Film\'s Trailer Released

A new trailer has been released for the theatrical feature Niji-Iro Hotaru, which is being directed by Konosuke Uda based on a screenplay by Kei Kunii. The feature is set to debut in theaters on May 19th. The trailer for the film, which translates as Rainbow-Colored Fireflies: The Eternal Summer Vacation~ is based on Masayuki Kawaguchi's 2007 novel and follows a sixth-grade boy named Yuta who slips back in time 30 years during summer vacation. After his father's death, Yūta tries to reclaim what was lost by experiencing summer activities like insect collecting and fireworks and discovering his first love in a village that should be underwater.
