A live action Bleach movie is hopefully in Warner Brother's future since they are reportedly "in the process of securing the movie rights" according to the Hollywood Reporter. In addition to Warner Brother's apparent interest, Director Peter Segal, known for Get Smart, The Longest Yard and Anger Management, is interested in producing. Viz Media and Segal's partner Michael Ewing are also lining up to produce.

This news follows Warner Brother's acquisition to the rights for Death Note, also published by Shonen Jump.

What do you think of an American live action Bleach? Do you think it will follow the first couple episodes or will the movie begin further along in the storyline?

hmm 100% sure it will suck if they use americans for this movie. I'm not being racist, but anime sounds so bad in english and japanese people look more like the characters than white people. Asians made the anime, so it would fit more if asians made a rl movie

I can imagine a bleach live action movie but a naruto live action should never see the light of day ................Hollywood is steadily destroying the credibility of anime....................remember a genocide inducing catastrophe called called dragon ball evolution that caused the suicide millions of anime fans it was the worst crime committed by america against japan since Hiroshima .......(PS):-sorr for reminding you all about that.....(i ment Dragonball evolution not Hiroshima )

I think Ichigo would be okay with a white actor since he does have yellow hair...
But Goku definitely looked totally asian and they should have used one in the movie.

they better not do it. Hollywood always crams things together in a movie and skips parts that r the best. I am just fine with anime movie and it should stay that way.

Ohh heck no america sucks at making real live anime movies this one will be garbage just like dragon ball evelution because they never stick to the plot of the series and the english actors suck

oh man, i don't think it will work out guys, as you have said dragonball evolution does not turn out well as it is. since most names of characters in bleach are in japanese, calling an american actor ichigo kurosaki does not fit well. do you also remember what tite kubo said? he does not want to see bleach as a movie and wants to stay the manga as it is and as an anime series. better have warner bros. relinquish that idea and here is my stand for making bleach a movie...

If they wanted to take it to a CG in 3D I'd watch that. Live action never get characters looks right and CG they could keep the voices. Do a Final Fantasy VII style Bleah/Naruto. Any complaints?

Bleach Anime and Manga are already on its extreme FAILURE!!!!!.. now what if there will be live-action its mass destructive catastrophe.. yes I agree it will promote suicide to some anime fans and won't care for others.... all we wan't is REFORMAT the entire story and make the final chapter for the NONSENSE manga story.. Tite.. please finish your job and stop corrupting money's...
