Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End was released earlier this week, and Naughty Dog’s parting shot to the series is receiving high marks as a fitting final chapter to the exploits of Nathan Drake, Sully, and company.
It’s hard to believe it has almost been 10 years since we were first introduced to Drake, the charming, wisecracking treasure hunter. In that time, the character who originally came off as a cross between Indiana Jones and Captain Malcolm Reynolds has come into his own, to the point that future pop culture heroes may someday be referred to as a cross between Nathan Drake and some other roguishly handsome ne’er-do-well.
In this Crash Course, we take a trip down memory lane to see how the character and games have matured over the years, leading up to the events of Uncharted 4.
