Electronic Arts has expanded their EA Access program to PC, allowing keyboard and mouse jockeys to enjoy the same benefits as Xbox One owners, with a few added extras. The subscription costs $4.99 per month and allows players to download and play the following games for as long as they remain subscribed:
- Battlefield 4 Digital Deluxe
- Dragon Age: Inquisition Digital Deluxe
- Battlefield Hardline Digital Deluxe
- Battlefield 3
- Sim City (2013)
- FIFA 15
- Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare
- Need for Speed Rivals: Complete Edition
- Dead Space 3
- Dead Space 2
- Dead Space
- Dragon Age II
- Dragon Age Origins
- This War of Mine
- TheSims 3 Starter Pack
It certainly isn’t a bad pool of games to choose from. EA promises that more games will be added over time, too. If the game isn’t included in the vault, EA Access subscribers can purchase it — as well as DLC — for 10% off, even if it’s a third party title, a feature exclusive to the PC version of the service. Also included is the ability to access trial versions of EA games before they’re made available to the public. It might not be enough to win over Steam die-hards, but it’s definitely a step in the right direction.
