Teased at BlizzCon 2017, Blizzard World is an epic Overwatch map that contains all sorts of easter eggs relating to Blizzard Entertainment’s other well-known games, including World of Warcraft, StarCraft, and Diablo. A theme park not unlike Disneyland, it’s easy to get swept up in the epic surroundings and, say, miss an incoming barrage from Pharah. That’s why we’ve put together this handy dandy guide, so players can enjoy their stay while dishing out some serious competition.

If on the attacking team, mobility is a must, especially with the tight corners and multiple flanking points. It won’t do to just charge straight at objectives. Agility and distraction are key, and with fliers like Pharah, being able to fly over buildings and dive-bomb prove invaluable. Of course, a tank like Zarya is important for the nail-biting push at the final point.

Mobile heroes to consider are Genji, Lúcio, Pharah, and Tracer.

Tanks with a little mobility are nice, so consider D.Va and Zarya.

Look for flanking routes near chokepoints. Lost and Found Vikings and Flight to Duskwood are two examples. The former may help with pushing through Stormwind Gate, but be aware of enemies guarding this route.

The StarCraft area is rife with flanking routes. This is a great area to swarm from multiple angles, keeping the enemy on their toes.

If on the defending team, mobility is less of an issue than crowd control and resilience. Attackers are going to want to come from all sides in hopes of confusing and overwhelming defenders. The Stormwind gate is the first chokepoint and functions as a terrific killzone, making it the hardest point for attackers to overcome with only one flanking point. Planting Orisa here with Torbjörn’s turret support gives firepower and a tank, but be careful! Defenders will want to avoid grouping too many allies together, as a well-placed self-destruct from D.Va could easily turn the tide.

Tank heroes to consider are Orisa, Reinhardt, and Roadhog.

Supports and defensive heroes to consider are those that can plant turrets or explosives, such as Torbjörn, Symmetra, and Junkrat. Symmetra and Junkrat are especially great at making flanking routes a source of difficulty.

A bend in the road near the second objective allows players to utilize line-of-sight to their advantage, slowing down the enemy while moving into cover to heal.

It’s highly suggested that defenders try to take control of the upper ground in the StarCraft area. Here, the payload is largely in the open.

Whether attacking or defending, players should keep in mind the number of ambush points set up high in addition to the ground-level flanking areas. For the StarCraft area, consider controlling ownership of the central healing pack. Lastly, for the final push into Diablo territory, do keep an eye out for the very deep pit.
