After years of receiving extreme hype, we’re finally inching closer to the Australian premiere of Dune, on 2 December. There have been plenty of retellings of the classic Dune tale, but this one is set to be the best yet — and if the box office figures from the US release weekend is anything to go by, it’s going to be a huge hit here in Australia, too.
This iteration of Dune tells the coming-of-age story of Paul Atreides (played by Timothée Chalamet), as he grapples with the family legacy he’s been born into, all while being drawn to a mysterious woman in his dreams (played by Zendaya). When Paul is forced to travel with his family (and their highly skilled army) to protect the world’s only supply of spice — a commodity that’s said to be capable of unlocking humanity’s greatest potential — his two worlds collide. Naturally, family feuds and intense battles against the enemy ensue.
The Dune cast is stacked and sees Chalamet and Zendaya star alongside Oscar Isaac, Rebecca Ferguson, Josh Brolin, and Jason Momoa (among many others) in the action-packed movie. We cannot wait to see it.
While the movie is released only in cinemas on 2 December, we’ve managed to score 100 double passes to advanced screenings of ‘Dune’ around the country and we’re giving them all away. To enter, simply fill out the form below (terms and conditions apply).
