Veronica Mars

Veronica Mars, Kristen Bell’s high school detective series had three amazing seasons before being abruptly canceled by The CW in 2007. But fans of the show weren’t gonna take it. In 2013, they donated $2 million to a Kickstarter campaign that funded the Veronica Mars movie.

Arrested Development

Arrested Development, following the absurd antics of the dysfunctional Bluth family, is one of the best TV comedies ever. But the series failed to appeal to the masses, prompting FOX to cancel it after three seasons. That sucked, but thanks to Netflix, the Bluths came back for a fourth season in 2013 and will return for Season 5 in 2018.

Freaks and Geeks

Freaks and Geeks only aired for one season, but the cult series launched the careers of many of today’s stars. Jason Segel, Seth Rogen, James Franco and Linda Cardellini all starred in the high school dramedy about a ragtag group of friends in suburban Michigan. What sucks the most is that NBC took the show off the air before the first season was even over, though a fan campaign later prompted the network to air three final episodes.

Firefly

Firefly, the Western space adventure series was a hit with fans when it debuted on FOX in 2002. However, the show failed to find a wider audience and was canceled after a single season. That sucks, but Captain Mal Reynolds and the rest of the Serenity crew reprised their roles in 2005 for the show’s big-screen swan song.

A man in Texas is suing his date for texting during the screening of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 they went to. It's his pet peeve, apparently. But while he says she was texting pretty much constantly, she says it was just two or three times. He was so upset, he asked her to go to the lobby to text. She obliged, but then subsequently decided to leave. Do you think it's ever OK to text in the cinema? Originally called Project Scorpio, Microsoft's new console is actually called Xbox One X, following on from the naming conventions of the Xbox One S. We're sure that's meant to make things easier, but we can imagine the Christmas parental confusion between the Xbox One S and One X already. The Xbox One X is what Microsoft is calling the "most powerful console ever", but what you really need to know is that it's a gaming PC in a living room friendly box and can play your favourite games in 4K and at a buttery smooth 60fps. It's the dream. It's also adopted the lush design of the Xbox One S, albeit in more of a space grey and apparently it's the smallest Xbox One ever too. How they managed to fit all that tech into a console smaller than the One S is baffling and a little bit magical. The Xbox One X is out November 7, priced at $499 in the US and 449 in the UK
