Without revealing too much for those who have yet to see the film, something happens to Jenny that may or may not have fundamentally changed her.A Classic Transformation?I would like to delve a little deeper into her dark side, she says. Into, you know, this mystery about her that I think unravels a very exciting truth that well come to know. I just want to play with the idea that potentially she could become a classic monster. Or not.Jake Johnson, who plays Tom Cruises characters right-hand man, Chris Vail, is hopeful that his character will return  suggesting theres more to come from him.I hope the writers write me into the next adventure because this one was a lot of fun to make and I think theres more story to be told, he says.He elaborates on the transformation his character goes through in the movie, adding: Is my character supernatural at the end of this movie? The answer to that would be yes. You know, he gets killed and then gets a curse on him and comes back from the dead and he haunts Toms character. And then at the end, Toms character brings him back but takes away the Mummy, if you will  takes the Mummy out of him. So I dont think that just goes away. I think thats still in him but he appears to look a lot nicer.It certainly sounds like we'll see all of these characters again in the Dark Universe  whether that's in the next instalment, The Bride of Frankenstein, reWhen youre dealing with the supernatural, anythings possible. The Bride of Frankenstein officially follows The Mummy as the next instalment in Universals new Dark Universe franchise  a shared universe of films resurrecting creatures from the old Universal monster movies. There has been talk, for instance, that Angelina Jolie may pick up the Bride of Frankenstein role. So might you be if you were living in a mans world and find yourself stripped of your inheritance because your dad happens to have a baby boy. Originally destined to become the Queen of Egypt, Ahmanets thirst for power leads to her downfall and she finds herself mummified alive. Bogus.When she wakes up some 5,000 years later, shes still mad as hell. Plus, it turns out shes made a promise to the Egyptian God Set to provide him with the body of a mortal man that he can inhabit. Which means she then makes it her mission to fulfil that promise, and suck the life out of actual living people to get herself back to full strength.Sofia Boutella spoke to FANDOM to tell us that Ahmanet isnt all bad, and that her temper is something a little love and self-care could probably tackle.She has a reason for why shes doing this and doesnt come from a place of pure evil. She comes from a place of having been deceived and heartbroken and she just wants justice, she explains. I think there is a space for redemption there. She just needs a hug. She just needs a bit of love.So how would Sofia like to see Ahmanet develop in future films in the Dark Universe?Id like to see her in [the] modern day taking on normal life trying to blend in, see what happens. Try to buy some groceries at the supermarket interact with people I dont know, go to the gym, go to the sun.Anything else?Maybe she can just compromise. Instead of taking their lives, those poor people, I think maybe she can compromise and go and get some sun instead or try to eat more carrots. A bit of Vitamin A in there will help her, eat a bunch of mushrooms for some Vitamin D. What else? Some green juices. That will do. She just doesnt know diet very well. Thats why her methods are a bit eccentric.Maybe the Dark Universe could surprise us all and go somewhere unexpected after all.The Mummy hits screens on June 9.
