Xbox Series X Gameplay - The Loop

Originally called Project Scorpio, Microsoft's new console is actually called Xbox One X, following on from the naming conventions of the Xbox One S. We're sure that's meant to make things easier, but we can imagine the Christmas parental confusion between the Xbox One S and One X already. The Xbox One X is what Microsoft is calling the "most powerful console ever", but what you really need to know is that it's a gaming PC in a living room friendly box and can play your favourite games in 4K and at a buttery smooth 60fps. It's the dream. It's also adopted the lush design of the Xbox One S, albeit in more of a space grey and apparently it's the smallest Xbox One ever too. How they managed to fit all that tech into a console smaller than the One S is baffling and a little bit magical. The Xbox One X is out November 7, priced at $499 in the US and 449 in the UK

Xbox One X is the Most Powerful Console Ever, and Smaller than Ever

One of Microsoft's biggest games for this year is Forza Motorsport 7 and as you'd expect, it's going to be one of the driving forces for Microsoft's next console, the Xbox One X. With over 700 cars to slip behind the wheel of inlcuding the biggest assortment of Ferraris, Porsches and Lamborghinis ever, it's going to be a seriously impressive game. And a lot of that comes from the series' always-impeccable graphics. On the Xbox One X the game will run at a glorious 60fps at full 4K resolution with HDR support to boot. Forza Horizon 3 has already proven the team know how to take true advantage of these new technologies and Forza 7 is looking to take these techniques to a whole other level. Forza 7 is coming on October 3 2017, with the Xbox One X arriving a little later on November 7 priced at $499/449.
