PUBG players are an inventive lot. Just watch this play by Evermore, who first uses a rolling car as cover, shoots out its tires to render it stationary while he heals up, then hops into a jeep and rolls over to the shack where his opponent is holed up. He then shoots the door of the shack to create an opening and lobs a grenade bullseye right through the hole he just created. It's a true masterpiece of destruction.

Here, mammuTziano hides in a jeep placed conveniently at the outskirts of the military base. A player from an enemy squad sees it, hops in, and drives it to his friends without realizing mammuTziano is inside. By the time they realize they have a spy in their midst and eliminate him, mammuTziano pulls the pin on his grenade and takes the entire squad out as they try to loot him.

PUBG's emergent gameplay has created its share of strange characters, such as "Banana Man." A yellow-clothed, high-voiced "stream sniper" who watched popular players' livestreams to determine their location, Banana Man became a regular presence in the streams of Shroud, one of the game's most popular personalities. The two eventually formed an unlikely partnership -- which got them temporarily banned, since teaming with players outside your squad is against the rules of the game.

They launch off a rock and fly down toward the prison complex...where they promptly land on a player who just happened to run out of the building at that moment. By the end of Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor, protagonist Talion was an unbeatable Orc-slaying machine, able to swiftly dispatch  crowds of enemies in gloriously gory fashion. That was largely due to the powers granted to him by Celebrimbor, the elf lord whose soul became entwined with Talion's during the course of Shadow of Mordor.Talion and Celebrimbor are back in the upcoming sequel Middle-Earth: Shadow of War, ready to take up the fight once more against the Orc hordes. So how has Talion's toolkit improved since his last outing? Let's take a look at some of the new skills announced so far.In Shadow of War, Talion's skills are broken into six distinct trees: Combat, Predator, Ranged, Wraith, Mounted, and Story.Combat unsurprisingly improves Talion's basic fighting ability, with skills like Perfect Counter, in which a well-timed button press can knock an enemy to the ground, and Brutal Aggression, which allows Talion to execute a foe in such brutal fashion that nearby enemies flee in terror.The Predator tree focuses on stealth and is filled with skills like Poison Tendril, which allows Talion to poison grog barrels from afar and cause enemies to fight each other, and Deadly Spectre, which is used to lure enemies in stealth to meet a grim end by Celebrimbor's hand.Ranged upgrades Talion's bow and arrow proficiency. Skills on this tree include Detonate, which allows Talion to Shadow Strike into a fit pit, detonating it and setting nearby enemies on fire.Next is the Wraith tree, which focuses on Celebrimbor's abilities. These include skills like Elven Light, which unloads of a powerful blast of light that blinds enemies, and Treasure Hunter, which automatically collects loot from downed enemies.Then there's the Mounted tree, which grants Talion the ability to subdue and mount the beasts of Mordor, including Caragors and Drakes.Finally, there's the Story tree, which is unlocked as part of the main story campaign. This tree includes necessary skills like Drain, which lets Talion sap health from Orcs and beasts, and Spectral Glaive, which allows Talion to perform a devastating sweep attack with his glaive.Unlock these and many more of Talion's skills when Middle-Earth: Shadow of War comes out for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on October 10.

Destiny 2: Forsaken is the biggest content update yet to Destiny 2 and kicks off Year 2 of developer Bungie's content roadmap. It's filled with new gear, new enemies, new game modes, and new destinations. 

It also comes paired with a bevy of quality-of-life updates for all Destiny 2 owners, highly anticipated by fans, like weapon randomization and weapon slot changes. These improvements combine to make the launch of Destiny 2: Forsaken on September 4 an opportune time to jump back into the game or pick it up for the very first time.

Let's take a closer look at some of these new additions to Destiny with Destiny 2: Forsaken.


Revenge – Hunt down the Barons

Destiny 2: Forsaken's new campaign introduces the Barons, a group of eight brutally bad Fallen who have been broken out of the Prison of Elders by Uldren Sov, whom players met in the first Destiny. In the reveal trailer, they're shown seemingly killing fan-favorite character Cayde-6, and Forsaken's campaign will be one of revenge as players hunt down those eight Barons in whatever order they wish. Each Baron has unique characteristics, which means fighting each one will be a completely different experience. The Trickster uses traps, stealth, and long-range weapons, for example, while players will have to battle the Rider while flying across the map in a Pike. Players will then ultimately have to face Uldren.

The Dreaming City

After tackling Uldren a whole new mystery unveils in the The Dreaming City, a new location for Destiny 2: Forsaken, entirely devoted to End Game activities. Bungie describes it as their largest endgame experience yet. What makes the Dreaming City unique is that not only does it contain the first new raid since Destiny 2 came out last year, but it also houses high-level patrols, public events, and other mysterious puzzles to solve. That means that solo players and smaller fireteams will be able to experience some of the wonder and mystery of the Dreaming City without having to schedule a six-person raid run. 

Gambit Mode

Destiny players have never been lacking for game modes, with campaign missions, patrols, strikes, raids, the competitive Crucible, and more all available to dip into. But the game has always separated the PVP activities in the Crucible from the cooperative gameplay featured everywhere else. That changes with Gambit, a brand-new mode for the series that mashes together PVE and PVP mechanics. In Gambit, two teams of four will fight off waves of enemies in separate locations but will have the opportunity to send enemies and even players over to the other side. The first team to take down the final boss wins the match and the best loot. We can easily see this unique blend of cooperative and competitive gameplay dominating players' time at launch.


New Exotics and Supers

Bungie's weapon design team is seeking to raise the bar on the Destiny series' coveted exotic weapons and gear by significantly altering a Guardian's playstyle while equipped. Take the Antaeus Wards, a pair of Titan boots that deflect projectiles when the player is sliding. Then there's the Wish-Ender, an exotic bow -- a new weapon type in Forsaken -- that allows its wielder to see through walls and over-penetrate targets.

Each Guardian will also be getting new supers within the individual subclasses. That means that Hunters can now be able to do things like deflect rockets with their Arc Staff, Warlocks can teleport around the map and erupt in Void energy, and Titans can create Banner shields in front of them that allies can shoot though.
