Bringing together the 8-bit action of indie smash hit The Escapists and the bleak, zombie-laden world of The Walking Dead, Team17’s The Escapists: The Walking Dead is an exciting action-strategy title that adapts the plot of the hugely popular comic book created by Robert Kirkman. Gamepedia and Team17 are pleased to announce the Official The Escapists Wiki.

First released in 2014, The Escapists began life as a Kickstarter-funded strategy title that cast players as a prison inmate seeking a way out. Then, last year, a sequel based on The Walking Dead transplanted the game’s stellar mechanics into the comic book that inspired the hit AMC television series.

Some six months after the game’s release, a free update is set to make a new game mode available to players old and new. Five new survival maps will challenge players to weather the storm of walkers, grunts and legends desperate to take advantage of a brain buffet. Fighting as and alongside iconic characters like Abraham, Michonne and Rick, it’ll take a mix of tactics and firepower to come out the other side unscathed.

Fortunately, the Official The Escapists Wiki has all the information you need to succeed. From the original game to its The Walking Dead themed spin-off, there’s tons of information on how to get the most benefit from items, the title’s crafting system and the many characters you can call upon for help.

From now until April 24, Gamepedia is hosting a Wiki Editing Contest for the Official The Escapists Wiki. By contributing to the site, you could win the top prize of a $50 Steam voucher — for more information, check out the official contest page.
