Fight to save the universe’s last star in Battleborn, the next-gen shooter from Gearbox Software and 2K. The Open Beta is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. To learn more about the game’s heroes, factions, and game modes, visit the Battleborn Wiki on Gamepedia.

The content available during this Open Beta period is vast, as players will be able to experience two story mode episodes, two competitive multiplayer modes, 25 heroes, and three progression systems. No matter if you decide to play as the cybernetic El Dragón or the defective trooper Whiskey Foxtrot, you’ll be able to face off in 5v5 matches, unlock new taunts and skins, and more. It’s worth noting that none of your Open Beta progress will carry over into the retail game.

During the Open Beta, players will also have a chance to earn character skins by completing the Challenges in the below image.

Ready to start playing? The Open Beta lasts from today through April 18th at 2:00 pm UTC and is open to all regions. The developers are eager for player feedback, and they asks that bug reports and other comments be submitted to the Gearbox Open Beta forums. PS4 players that participate in the Open Beta will receive the first Battleborn DLC and instant access to Alani upon release. During the beta, PS4 players can access Toby.
