In Forced Showdown, you take part in a game show unlike anything you’ve ever seen on daytime television. The game puts players under the jurisdiction of C-SAR, the artificial intelligence who acts as host and architect of the competition. However, this AI is far more concerned about whether or not his audience is entertained than the continued health of competitors.
As such, expect to fight a horde of enemies with different fighting styles and abilities, test your mettle as you engage in daily challenges and even attempt to take down a Titan — mammoth adversaries that are sure to stretch even the most able player.
However, playing Forced Showdown is a very different experience to your standard ARPG. By choosing a contestant to compete as and building a deck from the cards you’ve collected, you can change up your style of play dramatically. No two runs should ever be quite the same; both the choices you make about your character and the challenges C-SAR lays out in your path can have a huge impact on gameplay.
The developers are actively creating new content for the game, and an upcoming expansion, Drone Invasion, is launching on July 31. The expansion adds new enemies, cards, and quests to the game, as well as an entirely new campaign and boss. It’s the perfect time to jump into the action!
