Hero Warz is a throwback to the days where RPG grinding felt good — think Diablo II and you’re probably not far off from what the developers are trying to achieve. Gameplay is fast-paced and action-packed; small maps encourage players to chain together kills, as wave after wave of enemies fill the arena with chaos and combat.
Once you’ve killed off enough of these underlings, you’ll be faced with the imposing prospect of a boss battle. Fortunately, you can team up with your friends to take down these challenges co-operatively. However, that’s not the only way that you can play Hero Warz with your friends.
A fully fledged 4v4 mode inspired by the MOBA genre is also included. Players pick from the game’s massive roster and attempt to overpower the other team on stylized maps — as expected, killing off enemies provides experience that can be used to power up the five abilities available to each combatant.
